Last week, our client hosted a full house for a roundtable discussion celebrating the life and legacy of Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune on her 150th birthday at LAPL’s Expo Park branch, which also shares her name.

Headlining the panel were local leaders from the National Council of Negro Women (SoCal NCNW ), the organization founded by Dr. Bethune herself nearly a century ago. For more LAPL community programming, be sure to visit the event calendar on the Library’s main website, which is linked in our bio.
