When selling solar over the phones…
Don’t actually use your phone.
Call from your CRM so the entire conversation (texts/ emails/ phone calls) can be recorded & tracked.
And for the love of god, please follow a process every time.
You can track your metrics so much easier, you can figure out why your having a bad week or a bad month, you can scale so much easier, and you can train others on your team so much simpler so that you can replace yourself & only take appts when you want… and spend the rest of your time traveling & doing minimal admin work.
Even though I’ve been doing this for years, my secret sauce is:
-Get the bill before the appt
-Build all my proposals out the night before (quit being lazy)
-Have my word for word script up on every call, and pretty much read it verbatim- of course I go off script at times, but it’s a life saver to pull myself back on track if the homeowner starts to derail me
-KEEP EVERYTHING IN THE SAME CRM
-Wash, rinse, repeat.
I’ve been able to take brand new reps, train them on my processes, and get them closing 2-3 deals a week in just a week or two, simply because I have my processes down.
If you’re struggling to close solar deals, look at your work ethic & your processes. Are you staying consistent & following the exact same processes each time?
