Alex Ruiz started his filmmaking journey in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

After discovering life in NYC through Storyhunter, he went back to Mexico to live in Baja Beach, Hemingway style. From there he moved to Mexico City where he started making films for ads & content. Wanting to find his own style, he started mixing metaphors, enigmatic narratives & visual power.

Ruiz has worked with top brands like Corona Beer, Coca-Cola, Facebook, Uber, Aeroméxico & Google and has been nominated to Best New Talent by El Ojo de Iberoamérica.

He won 2 Gold Lion Awards in 2022 and is currently working on his feature film.

🔮 Allday welcomes director Martin Scali 🔮

Martin Scali has conceived music videos for Major Lazer, Nicki Minaj, Yaël Naïm, OrelSan and Stromae. These projects got him shortlisted at Cannes YDA and the Shots Awards in 2018. In addition, Scali has been a close collaborator of Wes Anderson, directing 2nd unit on The Grand Budapest Hotel and The French Dispatch.

Next to his advertising work which includes the official Paris 2024 Olympic Games film, Scali is writing and developing narrative projects. His last short, Canyon, was both a Festival de Clermont-Ferrand and Sitges Film Festival nominee, two of the world’s most prestigious short films events and also got the Silver Mélies for Best Short at Festival Europeen du Film Fantastique de Strasbourg.

Scali is currently working on his first feature, Rubis Terminal, awarded with the Emergence grant from the French National Cinema Committee.
