We are stoked. Congratulations to our Founder & Owner on becoming a Member of The Academy.

Olcun started his career in 1995 in Germany working on titles like “Enemy at the Gates” and “The Patriot” before moving to London to work at Mill Film on titles like “Harry Potter” and “Black Hawk Down”. In 2003 he joined Dreamworks Animation in Los Angeles as Lead Effects Developer bringing together creativity and technical development for titles like “Over the Hedge”. In 2006 he formed Gradient Effects and has since worked on countless feature films and TV shows like “Dr.Sleep”, “Thor: Ragnarok”, “Guardians of the Galaxy” and “Game of Thrones”.
In 2016 Olcun was named in Variety’s Blow-the-Line Impact Report for his groundbreaking work on “The Revenant” and Season 1 of the Netflix hit “Stranger Things”.
