Our work on The August Wilson Experience began through a trusted partnership with EMON Event Co., founded by Asona McMullen, who is also the visionary behind Lex Project Prom, a longtime partner of Odd Media Solutions. Over the years, our relationship has grown season by season, built on trust, shared values, and quality ex*****on. This is the kind of partnership we pray for — the kind that proves how good relationships will carry you through life, opening new doors while deepening old ones.
I’m especially proud to work with Asona because she shares the same passions and hope we have for the world. We are two Black women who have navigated corporate America and brought those skills home, using them to preserve culture, advance our communities and advocate for those who can’t speak for themselves.
Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright August Wilson once said, “Confront the dark parts of yourself, and work to banish them with illumination and forgiveness. Your willingness to wrestle with your demons will cause your angels to sing.” His words remind us that storytelling, legacy, and community are pathways to healing and power.
