🚨 Campaign Progress Update — Almost There! 🚨

Just 2 days ago, we began working on this campaign for Vern Ivey’s family when it was sitting at only 5% funded. Today, we’re proud to share that it has reached an incredible 94% of its $20,000 goal — currently at $18,605 raised.

Olga Melnychuk-Magee was more than a mother, teacher, and friend she was a light in her community. From her dedication at Castlebar Primary School to her kindness toward every life she touched, Olga lived with compassion, warmth, and quiet strength.

In just a short time, her family has endured the loss of her son, her mother, and now Olga herself. No family should have to carry this much grief alone.

This incredible woman is not only our treasurer, she assists with secretary duties, runs canteen, runs meat draw, helps with licensing to make sure there’s money being put into our lottery account to assist our community, volunteers helping with other events, co chairs Poppy and helps with Remembrance Day! Being married to a Veteran she has devoted her life and countless hours to supporting Veterans and Legions. She deserves a huge round of applause and a heartfelt thank you!

Trudy has held many positions at the branch and LA levels and always puts forth 100%. Trudy is the proud mother of an active service members and shows her commitment as our Poppy chair. Trudy focuses on our annual Poppy campaign and Remembrance Day with a mission in mind, supporting our Veterans. Her organization, determination and accounting abilities get us through year after year! Trudy also is Youth & Education chair and and devotes much time to educating our youth, getting them involved with our poster and literacy programs. She also started the “leave no stone alone “ campaign this past year placing over 80 painted stones on Veterans graves with several school youth (grades 5&6), this was an incredible day and honoured our Veterans through our youth! Way to go Trudy! Applause and thanks all around.

We’re proud to share a campaign we’ve been working on over the past few days that’s making an incredible impact 💙

This fundraiser was created for Robyn, a beloved bartender at Craft Kitchen + Bar, who is facing an unimaginable loss after a devastating house fire destroyed her family’s home and everything inside. Tragically, they also lost their two cherished dogs, Hank and Bowser 🐾💔

When we stepped in just 3 days ago, the campaign was stuck at around 30% with limited visibility. Through targeted promotion and strategic outreach, we helped push it forward and now it’s at an amazing 95% funded 🙌
