If I had a $1 for everytime I've changed my bio 🤣 And look there is no shame in updating your bio alongside a messaging upgrade or when you're releasing a new offer...

What often happens when nothing seems to be working, when no clients are asking about our offers, and we are looking frantically for something, anything that will help us, we go to the fringe tasks in hopes to stay busy and feel that productivity buzz.

And again there is nothing wrong with doing this, yet the more powerful results follow when we deeply look at how we are communicating our work, and how our messaging is being received by our ideal client.

Try this activity:

👉 Get a visual in your mind of your perfect fit client, think about their challenges, what they are currently struggling with and what deeply desire, think about what makes them the right client for you, (this could be characteristics, beliefs etc)

👉 Now, look back at your last 9 posts and your current story as if you were that person, ask yourself, "Would I buy from me? Is the value of what I do clear? Am I showing people how I help them? Is it tangible?"

Without shame, start to see your gaps and where your content strategy and messaging could be missing that connecting piece between finding you helpful, and hireable.

I know how tempting it can be when your mind is blank to try and drum up some ideas by consuming, you scroll, you save a few posts, you like some stuff...

But, more often than not you leave more discouraged than before.

That's because you're not leaning into your own GENIUS, but looking for someone else's to help you...

So as much as I am a strategist, I also believe whole heartedly in the power of building your personal brand, and creating that "I am a content genius!" waterfall of confidence that comes when you understand how to talk about what you do...

Stop doubting yourself. You are serving your clients because you have the expertise and experience to do so.

Each piece of content is your chance to practice and practice and practice until one day you master creating content for your business, you're booked out, you maybe even have a waitlist, and never question "I just don't know what to post" 😅

There is no question that providing value creates trust throughout your content, this is how you share your expertise, and what makes you different.

BUT here is where I see most coaches and online service providers get it wrong when it comes to creating value content:

👉 Instead of sharing value on the SAME THINGS YOU HELP YOUR CLIENTS WITH, you are sharing things you know about it - but don't directly relate to how you help your clients transform, (if you do this, you won't build a desire for your offer), you are INFORMING but not PROBLEM SOLVING

👉 You are staying super surface level, and posting the same thing your client could find on google in the top 15 blogs on the very subject you coach or provide services on INSTEAD of using your unique perspective to show them what your ideal clients are doing wrong, and providing them a pathway to their desires, (and your services)

You want to be giving ah-ha moments, shifting beliefs, and showing them WHY they need your help - shoving more information at them is not providing the value that you think it is!

You do not have to burn out on content to make money through marketing on Instagram... breathe a sigh of relief 😤

Accounts focusing on volume are usually trying to get brand deals, so they keep it super surface level, they aren't actually trying to get their customer through their buyer's journey - or if they are their strategy is not the same as a coach or online service provider looking to sell their mid to high ticket offers.

Knowing why people suggest this arms you with the decision of what YOUR business really needs to move forward.

You cannot google experience or expertise - it has to come from DOING THE WORK.

And you have done work, that's why you have a business, so you can help your clients.

SHARE THIS EXPERTISE - don't hold back.

👉 Show them what's stopping them from getting what they want
👉 Point out the common mistakes and patterns you notice are holding them back
👉 Give value that comes from your experience and not a textbook, course or google

When you do this, you stand out as the authority YOU ARE.

Yes there are other people offering what you offer. But no one has your exact expertise, tap into what makes you different, and your unique knowledge.
