3WT:
The Three Questions That Can Change Your Life
The motto I live by is 3WT
Before you decide where you’re going in life, ask yourself these three questions:
1. Who are you?
Not who other people expect you to be—but who are you, honestly?
2. What do you want?
Do you want to be a doctor? A rapper? A professional athlete? An accountant? A fruit merchant? A police officer? A member of the military? A florist? A first-shift supervisor? A business owner? A husband or wife? A parent?
There isn’t a wrong answer. The only wrong answer is pretending to want someone else’s dream.
3. What are you going to do to get what you want?
Will you go to school? Learn a trade? Start a business? Find a mentor? Work two jobs? Practice every day? Take risks? Make sacrifices?
Success always has a price. The question is: Are you willing to pay it?
Before you answer these three questions, take a moment and be honest with yourself.
To thine own self be true.
If you’re not naturally gifted in sports, becoming a multi-million-dollar professional athlete may not be the most realistic path. That doesn’t mean you can’t become successful—it means your success may come through a different road.
Likewise, if you’re headed toward crime, remember this: every criminal career has an expiration date. Sooner or later, the consequences arrive.
Your future is shaped by the choices you make today.
Ask yourself these three questions often. Your answers may change over time—but your commitment to being honest with yourself should never change.
3WT.Know who you are.Know what you want.Do what it takes to get there.
Be honest of what only you want. Not necessarily the $ or attention. But something that you’d jump outta bed to get going.
