Good idea
Bans Off Our Hearts!
Who is pushing women into loneliness— and su***de?
The idea that a woman ought to have complete autonomy over her own body is a mantra for unicorns.
Is there any female who exists without the need for a caring partner?
Who among us is an island? —
No man is an island entire of itself; every man
is a piece of the continent, a part of the main;
if a clod be washed away by the sea, Europe
is the less, as well as if a promontory were, as
well as any manner of thy friends or of thine
own were; any man's death diminishes me,
because I am involved in mankind.
And therefore never send to know for whom
the bell tolls; it tolls for thee. - John Donne
In previous generations the word ‘man’ was always understood to mean ‘humankind’— it was inclusive of both s*xes. It was never to be thought of as egotistical. The poet of For Whom the Bell Tolls never envisioned the bell tolling only for men.
True, men were/are and wanted/want to be the protectors of women, but is that wrong?
Today, we see women demanding their reproductive rights as though men were hyaenas set on devouring their bodies without love or consideration. Are men really like that? Most of them?
Let’s turn this tide around.
Pro-lifers hear the bell toll for all life.
Women! Desire to be cherished. Demand your right to be free of heavy-handed rhetoric that pushes you to hate the opposite s*x and deny them any role in your health and happiness.
