Ok - so let's get to business here....AI....the good, the bad, the ugly...when it comes to the print world. So many customers are sending us AI generated art files to print or make signs that I felt I needed to address it here....well - here is some information for you guys -

The good - yes, it looks good, it's quick, it's easy, it's usually free.

The bad and ugly - what you just created doesn't always work in our industry. The size is usually wrong, the images are low resolution, the wording is too close to the edges, it's not saved in the right format...etc. AND - we cannot always edit an AI created file. So you spent time making this file on AI thinking you will save time and money and then it can't be used for what you need. Which means we need to recreate the file or you need to go back to the drawing board (aka AI) and start over. When creating files, you can research how to make AI files printable.

AI can work for you in this industry - just do some research on how to set up the file so it's print friendly. It's a learning process and we are here to help you.

Thank you!

If our printers had feelings, they’d love Fridays too.
