8-figure acquisition. Dream outcome.

Then in 2022, the buyer went bankrupt.
The payout disappeared.

And I couldn’t even get my company back.

In 2023, my daughter was born 2 months premature.
Extended NICU stay.
Medical bills wiped out the savings I had left.

🚨 Big move from OpenAI

OpenAI is testing ads inside ChatGPT. Ads will be shown only when a product or service is directly relevant to the conversation, says CEO Sam Altman.

Here’s what matters:
• Ads appear at the bottom of responses, clearly labeled as ‘advertisment’
• Shown to free users + ChatGPT Go ($8/mo)
• No ads for Pro, Business, or Enterprise users
• No ads for users under 18
• No ads near sensitive topics (politics, health, mental health)

Why this is a big deal 👇

Unlike search or social, these ads show up when users are actively asking questions and making decisions. That’s about as high-intent as it gets.

OpenAI says ads won’t influence answers, conversations aren’t sold, and users can:

✔️ clear ad data anytime

Zooming out 📈

Here’s a quick summary of how much I made with a digital product from launch to now 📊👇🏻

I launched this product on August 27th and started marketing it immediately. The early days were modest, a few hundred dollars in revenue with about $100 in ad spend, and then I slowly increased spend from there.

At the beginning, the goal wasn’t massive profit. It was breaking even while collecting emails, phone numbers, and giving Facebook real purchase data to learn who the buyer actually is.

Once the algorithm has enough conversions, it stops guessing. Ads become more efficient because they’re shown to people who closely match actual buyers. That’s why growth often starts slow… then ramps up fast.

Every digital product also has a natural saturation point. Eventually, most interested buyers have seen the offer and made a decision. Sales peak, then begin to taper off.

That’s what’s happening now. After pushing hard during the holiday buying season with email and SMS promos, this product peaked and is starting to settle into a profitable plateau.

At that stage, the best move usually isn’t to force more out of one product. It’s to build the next one that can scale.
