Since April 1st a migration of 20 giant pink snails from Woodland Farms in Goshen, KY to 21C Museum Hotel in downtown Louisville, KY has been underway. The 35 mile race of snails is raising awareness and money for Norton Cancer Institute’s Breast Health Program. It will end at the 21c Museum Hotel Louisville hosted “Steve’s Derby Eve” party on May 1st.

Each snail has a QR that links to the art installation’s website with a name and personality trait for the snails. Captured in these photos at Waterfront Park is Savannah the Snail who is the belle of the ball.

You can learn more about the roaming art installation and how you can support Norton Cancer Institute’s Breast Health Program starting on Instagram at . Where there is also a link to their snail tracker.

Final batch of photos from the No Kings Day 3 march through downtown Louisville, Kentucky on March 28, 2026.

The last thing I want to touch on as we end the march is unionizing. I used to be anti-union. Why? Because I was ignorant to what the purpose of a union was. I did not understand that unions give working class people power in the workplace to ensure they're treated fairly. I did not understand that unions drive movements. Back then I thought that unions were leeches who wanted to take money out of my paychecks.

If you have the opportunity to join a union. Do it! If you are in a workplace that doesn't have a union, find out how you can unionize you and your co-workers. Groups like Democratic Socialists of America have resources and education available to do so if you're unable to figure it out on your own.

Remember... ORGANIZE, ORGANIZE, ORGANIZE!

Second batch of photos from the No Kings Day 3 march through downtown Louisville, Kentucky on March 28, 2026. There will be one more smaller batch of photos coming to end the march and then we'll move on to the second half of the rally.

If you haven't already done, find a local political campaign to support. Not just with donations, though those are very important - especially for grassroots campaigns that are not getting corporate or PAC money. But with your time. Phone banking and canvassing are the most significant needs for a campaign. Because regardless of how much money a candidate has, at the end of the day they need to talk with the people who they hope to be their constituents directly. Realistically, they cannot speak with everyone. They need people to speak on their behalf with their fellow community members.

If you don't feel comfortable joining a campaign directly, you can usually find a local organization, union, etc. that has endorsed and is campaigning on behalf of a candidate.

Also, remember to register or update your registration to vote by your local deadline. Here in Kentucky, this year that deadline is April 20, 2026.

Only 100 followers away from 4000 for the page. Sure it’s not 10k or even 5k. It is still progress as we continue rebuilding the page’s reach. Would be awesome to hit it this week.

Marching in the streets feels great. It cathartic. It helps generate awareness in both the moment and in the hours and days that follow. But, marching alone will not solve any of the problems we're facing. After the marches, you HAVE TO find a path to doing the work.

One of the best ways to do this is by joining a local grassroots group or organization such as your local Democratic Socialists of America chapter, Party for Socialism and Liberation chapter, Communist Party USA or Revolutionary Communists of America chapter, Showing Up for Racial Justice chapter, and many others big and small throughout the United States of America.

Remember... ORGANIZE, ORGANIZE, ORGANIZE!

On Saturday, March 28, 2026 thousands gathered in downtown Louisville, Kentucky as part of the nationwide No Kings Day 3 protests. During the first half of the rally those in attendance heard from speakers talk about the importance of being prepared for a long fight that goes beyond Donald Trump, ICE, Palestine, attack on LGBTQ+rights in Frankfort, the importance of Planned Parenthood and bodily autonomy, and systemic injustice that overwhelmingly harms black and brown people in America.

The overarching theme was the need to organize and do the daily work beyond these national day of protest to reverse the fascist grip on the United States of America.

ORGANIZE, ORGANIZE, ORGANIZE!

With the third No Kings Day in Louisville, Kentucky moving back to Metro Hall and Injustice Square I took the opportunity to once again create a panoramic photo of the thousands of people present. While there isn’t an official count, my best guess is 8,000 to 10,000 people (and dogs). Around the attendance for No Kings Day, but less than No Kings Day 2.

In the coming days I will be doing something a bit different than the usual with my photos. The next set of photos I post will cover the first half of the rally before the march. Following that, I will post photos from the march, and then I’ll post photos from the second half of the rally.
