If you've never heard the terms RGB (Red, Green, Blue) or CMYK (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black). These are the color profiles used to generate the color for your images and text. What most of us see on screen is usually RGB which has a spectrum of billions of colors as opposed to CMYK with only a few million. This matters because most printers will print in CMYK. So converting your print from what you see as RGB to CMYK or billions of colors to millions of colors can tend to make your print look a little darker and less vibrant.
