Meet Houston Olson! 👋

For almost 5 years, Houston has supported community growers as a Sales Agronomist here at Northside Elevator.

When he's not working, you can find him hunting, fishing, gardening or out with his heifers. He's also involved with the Wood Area Holstein Breeders and helps with the Purple Ribbon Classic heifer sale every spring.

For Houston, the best part of the job is straightforward: working with farmers and seeing them succeed on their family farms.

We’re looking for a proactive, detail-oriented professional to lead our safety programs and help maintain safe, efficient facilities across all locations.

What you’ll do:
• Lead workplace safety and OSHA compliance initiatives
• Conduct safety inspections, trainings, and incident investigations
• Maintain safety documentation, reporting, and regulatory compliance
• Oversee building, grounds, and facility maintenance
• Coordinate vendors, contractors, and preventative maintenance
• Help strengthen a culture of safety across the organization

What we’re looking for:
• Experience in agriculture, manufacturing, or similar environments
• Background in safety, compliance, or risk management
• Strong organization, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work cross-functionally
