Pretty big boat. Pretty big lake. Pretty big enjoyment.

Imagine, for a second, the happiest moment of your life so far. Think about that fleeting moment that lasted for only a few weeks at most. Wouldn’t you like to look back on that? Recall the last time you looked at photos of loved ones, favorite vacations, pets long gone; that feeling of something remembered. Sorting through those emotions is a beautiful thing. I love seeing that from people. The experience of reliving the aura of a room or the atmosphere of the moment is powerful.
Envision yourself at one of your most proud times, when you were ecstatic for one of your accomplishments, excited for a turning point, elated for a future. That reaction is why I do what I do. I get to share moments with people at their best. I get to be a small cog in the crazy ever-changing machine that is life. I love enjoying those times. There is nothing greater in the world than to bring people joy and if I can find a way to capture the joy in others’ lives, then they can experience that specific joy again.
Is a self-confident, almost conceited proverb common amongst American teenagers who don’t appreciate being stared at. However, it is far truer than most will admit. The value of a photograph is far more powerful than a memory alone–but combined? That’s an influential thing. It is paramount to live with future in mind, experiencing every moment that comes between the milestones. Don’t ever let capturing a picture overpower the moment. It is critical to live with a lens, not through one.
