Effective messaging has several key components. Confusing your audience = lost sales. People don't buy the best, they buy what they can understand in the quickest time, via the shortest route.

➡️ Purpose: Clearly communicate the purpose or objective of the message. Whether it's to inform, persuade, entertain, or instruct, make sure the audience understands what action or response is expected from them.

This is why it's important to have a marketing plan in place targeting your ICP (ideal customer profile). Targetting for a pre-school will NOT use the same tactics as somebody who owns a wellness spa. The social media platforms you use for a country club will also vary from the social media platforms for a spray tanning business. You get the picture!

Strategic design. What exactly does that mean? During a strategy meeting this question inevitably comes up. Is your image, vision, mood, messaging or goals resonating with your ideal client?

It’s my experience that most of my clients don’t have an answer for that. And most of the time the customers they get are not their ideal customers! My favorite response to “who is your ideal customer?” is always “the paying ones.” 🤣

What is their lifestyle like? How old are they? Gender? Income level? When I sit down with clients, I ask a lot of questions. Consider it brand therapy. I am there to get to the root of your brand’s “why?”

Once we build these core audiences, I always revert back to them during the revision and reveal process. Would this resonate with _______ audience? Why? Why not? That is where the refinement comes in. Not in personal tastes of the business owner.

These are the problems that brand designers try to solve. We not only dig down deep and get to the core of your business, but we teach you and help you understand that your business is not just an extension of you as a person. What is your business’s why?
