Spent tonight connecting with Creative Collective members over artwork and artifacts at Peabody Essex Museum (located in Salem, Massachusetts).

Scroll through to see some of my favorite objects.

The evening featured remarks and a curator-led tour to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the East India Marine Hall, which was built in 1825 and is the heart of the museum.

We experienced a new, layered, story-rich installation of the hall featuring several hundred objects along with an optional multimedia guide that offered a fascinating cross-section of PEM’s global collection and represented its earliest years of collecting.

This reimagined gallery is a must-see for museum lovers! The hall itself is a National Historic Landmark.

Thank you to for this incredible opportunity to preview this amazing installation.

And thank you to for always creating access to community enriching experiences.

My favorite, favorite piece? The whale jaw.

I learned that whale gums (yup, you read that right) typically deteriorate, so all you ever see at museums are the bones.

Turns out PEM is the only museum that has jaw bones preserved with the gums intact!

The spaces where black and white meet, where creativity and strategy intersect, and where the in-between becomes an advantage.

So when I was invited to step into a three-day speaking and moderating role at an event in downtown Salem, Massachusetts, it felt very personal.

GRAYSCALE is an Indie Summit for anyone who feels like the odd one out when it comes to finding the right resources and connections for their business.

Tonight I talked to 8th graders at the .

Someone in my network reached out, knowing I’m passionate about helping people make meaningful first impressions—and I jumped at the opportunity.

So, why talk to teens about this?

Because whether you’re a student navigating middle school or a professional making new connections, the basics of showing up intentionally stay the same.

Here are 3 key takeaways I shared with them—and why you should pay attention too:

1️⃣ Be intentional with your style—it’s the first chapter of your story.

2️⃣ Adapt to different situations, but never lose YOU in the process.

3️⃣ Strong first impressions make your network work FOR you.

I believe in giving our youth the tools to express who they are, confidently.
