GTP is here to tap, nurture and promote Gambian Talents and culture from around the world as well as inform, educate and entertain Gambians through those talents. Gambian Talents Promotion is a nonprofit online Public Broadcasting Network who is here to tap, nurture and promote Gambian Talents and culture from around the world as well as inform, educate and entertain Gambians especially through the internet. We opened our office in The Gambia in late 2017 and since our primary focus is the youths, our office is managed 100% by young people under the age of 35. Since then, we have equally trained and mentored over 100 young people in the area of Graphic design, Web design, Videography, Public Speaking, Marketing and journalism. We train “backway” returnees, school dropouts and/or students of the University of The Gambia (UTG) and/or other tertiary institutions with little or no practical knowledge in the above fields. Since our inception in 2006, through partnership with several organizations, individuals, companies and promoters around the world, we created the platform for several Gambian Musicians to travel abroad notably to the US, UK and Scandinavia. In 2008, we organized the first Gambian Talents Award during which we recognized and honored talented Gambians in 18 different Categories including music, sports, literally art, fine art, radio and TV personnel just to name a few.Over the years, we have spread our wings and grown from being only promoters of Gambian Talents and culture and turned into a full-fledged nonprofit online Public broadcasting network whose mandate is to educate, inform and entertain Gambians both home and abroad. Our readership, viewers and followers have rapidly grown, thanks to the quality programs, news and activities we present on a daily basis. Gambians and friends of The Gambia in the diaspora form 60% of our followers while Gambians in The Gambia form the other 40% . This is changing rapidly as a result of the new dispensation and easier access to internet. A lot of Gambians in The Gambia were hesitant to engage with the online media due to the political climate of the country at the time. With the new dispensation, our following in The Gambia is rapidly increasing. It is also important to note that a lot of Gambians in the diaspora rely on us greatly to get news, current affairs and happenings in and about The Gambia. On the other hand, Gambians back home rely on us to connect with their families abroad and abreast themselves with current happenings and trendy news from and about Gambians around the world. Our social media pages have a combined following of over 2 hundred thousand and average about 5 million to 12 million people reach/month while our website reaches about 6 hundred thousand to 1 million monthly visits. Dear Hon Nyang,

Acceptance of Resignation as Administrative Secretary I, Hon. Ebrima Nyang.

The leadership of the Gambia Democratic Congress (GDC) has received and accepted the resignation of our Administrative Secretary I, Hon. Ebrima Nyang.

On behalf of the Party Leader and Secretary General, Hon. Mamma Kandeh, and the entire GDC Executive both in the Gambia and Diaspora and membership, I wish to extend our sincere gratitude to Hon. Nyang for his dedicated service, commitment, and immense contribution to the growth and strengthening of the party.

During his tenure, Nyang served with loyalty, diligence, and principle.

His efforts in advancing the cause of the GDC will always be remembered and appreciated.

While we regret his departure, we respect his decision.

The GDC leadership wishes him well in all his future endeavors.

In grief with a heavy heart we announce the untimely demise of our beloved brother Ebrima Camara😭 fondly called Papa Neneh. He answered Allah’s inevitable call today.

Funeral Arrangements: Fidaw will be held on Monday 21st September, 2026 In Shaa Allah at 11:00Am at Independence Drive Mosque. He will be laid to rest at Old Jeshwang Muslim Cemetery. Condolences will be received at #28 Lancaster Street Banjul.

We deeply commiserate with the bereaved family at this difficult time. May Allah grant them solace, patience and fortitude to bear this irreparable loss. May Allah forgive all his shortcomings, graciously illuminate his grave with nurul haq. May he be admitted in Jannatul Firdaws with all departed faithfuls. Aameen Ya Rabbi

*THE CHIEF JUSTICE COULD HAVE SAVE WHAT IS LEFT WITH HIS CAREER AND DO WHAT WAS COMPLETELY RIGHT*

The supreme court decision on the former Auditor General case against the State raised more questions on the independent of the judiciary.

The judgement today was nothing but trying to please both Barrow and Modou Ceesay at the expense of the Gambian taxpayers. The case was very clear that, the government decision was unconstitutional and they violated the constitution in the removal of the former Auditor General. There should have been one blunt decision which was to reinstate Modou Cessay to continue his work. President Barrow's action was an abuse of power which the court already established.

The Supreme Court decision would have been to call for the reinstatement of the former Auditor General and now the multimillion Dollar is how legal is the appointment of the current Auditor General?.

The ruling from the Supreme Court allows taxpayers to pay for two Auditor Generals. The ruling was unfair to the country because full justice should have been delivered.

The Chief Justice and his judges will be remembered for their dishonesty in this case. The former Auditor General salary and enumeration will paid until 2034 without discharging any responsibility for the country.

President Barrow I will suggest you do what is right by reinstating Modou Cessay as Auditor General and redeploy the current Auditor General anywhere.

This case was not about who will or lose but it was a case to establish the truth that the government can learn from. I call on the government to reject the judgement and reinstate Modou Cessay to save what is left of that office.

Let's Restore constitutional order to save this country.

AFRICA: A CONTINENT OF ABUNDANCE THAT MUST RISE

Africa is not a continent without wealth. Africa is a continent of extraordinary abundance.

Beneath our soil lie gold, diamonds, copper, cobalt, lithium, uranium, iron ore, bauxite, manganese, oil and natural gas. Our lands possess enormous agricultural potential, while our rivers, forests, fisheries, sunshine and wind provide opportunities for energy, food production and sustainable development. Above all, Africa possesses its greatest resource—its young people.

Yet despite this abundance, millions of Africans continue to face poverty, unemployment, drug abuse, human trafficking, exploitation and limited opportunities.

We must also confront the growing vulnerability of our youth. Young Africans must not be abandoned to drug addiction, prostitution,LGBT, trafficking, exploitation or other circumstances that deprive them of education, dignity and productive opportunities. Our response must be investment in education, skills, employment, entrepreneurship, healthcare and strong families and communities—not the abandonment of an entire generation.

Africa must equally examine the quality and independence of its leadership. No African leader should become a puppet of foreign governments or external interests at the expense of the African people. International partnerships can be valuable, but they must be based on mutual respect, transparency and African interests—not dependence or the surrender of our sovereignty.

Our natural resources must be developed responsibly and transparently. We must stop allowing valuable raw materials to leave Africa with little value added while importing finished products at much higher costs.

Africa has the resources. Africa has the people. Africa has the potential.

What we need is leadership that serves the people, institutions that protect public wealth, and citizens who demand accountability.

The future of Africa must not be written by corruption, dependency or exploitation. Africans must rise, protect their resources, empower their youth and build a continent capable of determining its own future.

His Excellency, Mr. Adama Barrow, President of the Republic of The Gambia, the First Family and the Koita Family of Julangel Village regret to announce the death of their Father, Uncle and Brother Alhagie Kaseh Koita of Julangel Village in Jimara, URR.

This sad event occurred today Sunday, 20th September 2026 at EFSTH in Banjul.

The sad news is extended to the cabinet, the entire staff at the Office of The President, the family of Chima Koita of Old Jeshwang, the family of Kamo Koita of Julangel, the family of Saikou Koita of Old Jeshwang, the family of Ba Kita Koita of Sinchu Alagie, the family of the Late Musa Njie of Banjul, the families of Muhammed Njie, Banta Njie and Zahara Njie, Alh. Basiru Jawara and Family, the Imam and Alkalo of Julangel Village, the entire Serahule Communities in The Gambia and Abroad, all family and friends in The Gambia and Abroad.

The Fidaw prayers will take on Monday, 21st September 2026 at the Imam Malick Mosque (Sumpudo Hati) at MDI Road in Kanifing at 4:00pm. The burial will take place at the Kanifing South Cemetary at 5:00pm.
