Updated my username... meet Rex. He's my new bearded reading buddy (sorry Blake). Also a great companion and literal dragon as I keep reading through A Song of Ice and Fire ☄️🐉

Current Read: As I lay dying by William Faulkner

Started off the year strong with finishing A Game of Thrones and yes it was absolutely a 5 star read. I will also be jumping into Tales of Dunk and Egg / A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms after along with all those other prequels lol 😌

I now understand the hype here, after finishing this first in the A Song of Ice and Fire series. THIS WAS SO GOOD. I repeat, THIS WAS SO GOOD.

I noticed after piecing together my own thoughts, a lot of negative reviews centered around this anti-woman theme which honestly I felt was sort of the opposite. Now don't get me wrong, horrific things happened particularly to women in this book (and... not in books...). BUT, there was such a fantastic undercurrent of cleverness, strength and constant outwitting of others that Daenerys, Caitlin, Aria, and our super villain Cersei had.

I think the political intricacies, social constraints, timeline, and even ice zombies and tbd dragons was so beautifully organized that this was top tier.

Did you read this? Spill your thoughts 💭 I'm interested!!

I've never seen GOT and honestly was never interested in it (idk I heard there was a lot of 🍆 and that's just not my vibe lol) but this book!!! I'm kicking myself for waiting because this js goooood!

Come judge some books by their covers with me. How do you all pick your books out? I'm the first to admit it's the cover that grabs me 😂

Had to pick up a copy of Beautyland by .helenebertino - definitely of my favorite books and i highly recommend!! 🥹🫶🏼

I was up until 2:30 am last night with this one! Safe to say it's going to most likely live up to the hype 🇸🇦
