Are people still printing calendars?

Absolutely. We just make ours work a little harder.

Take a look inside the custom member calendar we created for Virginia Country Club.

• Thick premium cover
• Embossed gold foil stamping
•. Beautiful photography
•. Rich matte cardstock
•. Custom designed from cover to cover

And then we added a digital layer.

Members can pull up an interactive version right from the club’s site or app, search events, add individual dates to their personal calendar, or subscribe to the entire year.

No extra app. No calendar hunting. Just one beautifully designed system that lives on the wall and on their phone.

We love building pieces like this because print doesn’t have to compete with digital. The two can work together to create a better member experience.

Looking for a bespoke calendar for your club or organization? Let’s build one.

What kind of vibe are your windows creating?

Window graphics shouldn’t only be designed for the people looking in.

We think about what happens inside the space, too.

How does the natural light move through the graphic?
What shadows does it create?
Can transparency, opacity, pattern, or color change the mood of the room throughout the day?

Sometimes the most interesting part of a window treatment isn’t the graphic itself. It’s what happens when light interacts with it.

That’s the difference between decorating a window and thoughtfully designing an environment.

Your graphics draw them in.
The vibes make them stay.

If you’re looking for a more thoughtful approach to window graphics, treatments, and branded spaces, let’s create something intentional.

Some installs are measured in square feet. Others are measured in moments.

When Los Angeles Nomadic Division trusted us with bringing the visual environment for Along the High Embankments to life at Presqu'ile Winery , we knew this wasn’t just another installation.

This was a backdrop to a story.

A collaboration between art, architecture, nature, and human experience featuring the work of Cole Sternberg inside Presqu’ile’s incredible concrete bunker space.

And like any great story… there was a little tension before the final scene.

Fresh paint. Tight timeline. Opening day approaching.

Our team worked carefully through the details, adapted in real time, and completed the installation just in time for guests to walk in and experience the space as intended.

Because the final touches matter.

The signs. The walls. The materials. The environment around the work.

They quietly shape how people feel when they step into a space.

Proud to help bring this vision to life.

Why do our calendars feel expensive?

It’s not the ink. Most of what reads as “quality” in print happens in the hand, not the eye: the weight of a cover, the faint grip of an uncoated surface (printers call it tooth), colour that runs through the sheet instead of sitting on top of it.

It’s why we spec GF Smith GF Smith Colorplan more than any other paper — calendar covers, invitations, envelopes, packaging.

Swipe for the 60-second version of what two decades on the production floor taught us about paper.

Spring event season just kicked off and most clubs are running full speed.
Here’s a scenario we see too often:
Your club is five days out from a tournament. The event director realizes they’re missing signage, a few flags, and branded swag. They call the local print shop. Two of the three get done in time. The event goes on — but the brand is leaking. Mismatched colors, inconsistent logos, last-minute fixes that look like last-minute fixes.
The problem was never the flags or the signage. It was the system — or lack of one — behind them.
We build brand infrastructure for private clubs. Not just the physical pieces, but the system that makes sure every event feeds the next. Vendor specs locked. Internal standards documented. Nothing scrambled at the last minute because nothing was left to memory.
Event season shouldn’t feel like triage. It should feel like ex*****on.

Your member gets the calendar in December. They put it on the wall. By February, they’ve stopped seeing it. Not because they don’t love your club. Because the calendar gave them no reason to look twice.

Every country club runs events.

Almost none run a system.

I’ve spent 18 years in brand infrastructure — the last two focused exclusively on private clubs. And I keep seeing the same pattern:

A club invests in a beautiful brand identity. The guide goes on a shelf. Then the next tournament rolls around and someone’s making a flyer from scratch at 10pm.

The signage doesn’t match the email.
The email doesn’t match the event portal.
The event ends and the next one starts from zero.

So I built a framework to fix it.

The 8-Stage Event Activation Loop maps every member touchpoint — digital and physical — across the full lifecycle of a club event. But the real insight is the loop: Stage 8 (re-engagement) feeds directly into Stage 1 (awareness) of the next event.

Nothing starts from scratch. Every ending seeds the next beginning.

I’m giving away the Event Activation Calendar as a free download — the full 8-stage system in a ready-to-use spreadsheet with dashboard, monthly calendar, milestone tracker, and journey map reference.
