Join us for a powerful gathering at the All-Men’s Community Meeting! It’s an honor to be asked to speak; opening remarks.

As a single mother, I created a program titled, “A Circle of Men” to support boys in their journey to manhood. This program is based on a conversation with my son during his teenage years. Posthumous City of Atlanta Fire Rescue Department Chief Officer Joshua DeWitt Stukes shared with me as a child that male mentorship and life experiences shape boys into men.

This meeting is crucial for men and young males, but I invite all women to join us, the few women selected for opening remarks. Let’s empower our community together!💪🏾

🙏🏽🌹🕊️In Loving Memory of Reverend Jesse Jackson Sr.

Born: October 8, 1941
Passed: February 17, 2026

How ironic that he passed in the same month, almost from the date Hank Stewart Poet and I saw him, greeted him and I had the opportunity to hug him.

Today and EVERYDAY, we honor the life and legacy of Rev. Jesse Jackson, a beacon of hope and a tireless advocate for justice and equality. As we reflect on his remarkable journey, we are reminded of the values he embodied; respect, compassion, and unwavering commitment to uplifting others.

- February 19, 2019: I had the profound pleasure of seeing Rev. Jackson at the Hyatt, where he graciously took a photo with me and my friend Hank. That day was special; it was the hug I received from a respected leader, a staple in the nation, a change maker.

- October 2019: During my first National ‘Biennial’ Conference for my client, whereas I, ie Stukes Management LLC, supported the coordination and ex*****on of this significant event on behalf of the National President and National Officers with hundreds of women from across the United States in attendance, along with esteemed dignitaries. I learned that Rev. Jackson had heard about NCBW gathering and felt it was his duty to stop by in a gesture of respect. 🙏🏾👏🏾

I promptly notified NCBW National President Harris, who instructed me to adjust the program to accommodate him. I had his team es**rt him into the ballroom and directly to the stage. The ballroom erupted in applause as he shared his words of wisdom and knowledge with a captivated audience of beautiful Black queens. It was a moment filled with honor and reverence that I will NEVER forget.

- March 6, 2022: My last communication with Rev. Jackson came through my brother Sabir Muhammad aka Ronnie Glover, who requested on my behalf to videotaped a personal message for my documentary focusing on Ms. Xernona Clayton. This documentary that I, ie Stukes Management LLC wrote, directed and produced aired on Twenty-six (26) television stations on this date, and I am forever grateful to have a piece of history documented that I, Alfreda Stukes solely own, Stukes Management LLC, through his voice. *Special thanks to my Co-hosts of the documentary my family Council Matt Westmoreland and the Honorable Natalie Hall.

Rest well, sir. Your work on Earth is done, and the gates of heaven await you. Job well done, Rev. Jesse Jackson. Your spirit will continue to inspire generations to come.
