The debate over collection site hours isn't just about trash pickup — it's about how county services can best serve the people who use them.

Should all sites have the same schedule to make things simpler? Should convenience for working residents come first? Or is there a compromise that works for everyone?

And that's just one of the many issues being discussed around Baker County right now.

👉 What's on your mind? What do your fellow Baker County residents need to know?

Share your thoughts in our Sound Off! section. It only takes a minute, and your comment could be featured in an upcoming edition of The Baker County Press.

Today I am asking for help from the community. We have a young lady that lives here in Baker county that has terminal brain cancer. Well, I want to give her the biggest birthday party you've ever seen. That means the community will be invited. We also need help if you know any vendors or anyone who would be happy to donate for the cause. I would love for the family to be able to take this time and not worry about bills while they take care of this young lady. She will be turning 13 years old. We will be selling t-shirts to raise money too. I have a donation box on the way. The theme is a pink carnival! And I know that the date is coming fast, but we're aiming for June 6th.
