Good morning. Today we were sent this photo by FFDC Board member Stephanie Hughes of Pittsville, WI.

Its her favorite cow, Raven.

The picture is a whole vibe in our opinion.

Farmers have favorite animals.
They have an eye for capturing beauty.
And there is a sense of hope and calm in this picture

We hope you enjoy it as much as we did.

Send your farm photos that you think capture the essence of your farm life and we will post them as well.

Have a dairy good day. Milk it for all it's worth.

Super proud of our Fischer family!!!

Sara and Paul Fischer wanted to be more involved in where their checkoff dollars go. Five years ago, they got involved with the Clark County Dairy Promotions Committee, and are continuing to build up momentum for two events that have been mainstays at the fair for 30 years, the Saw Cow contest and the Little Britches show.

Our 1st of 3 Dairy Innovation Roadshows is in the books.

Our Member Services Specialist and CoopLINK coordinator Abby Walker had a very full and informative day for our FFDC members and guests who joined us.

We visited Quality Liquid Feeds in Dodgeville where we were able to learn about new and innovative way to feed nutrients to crops as well as many other segments of agronomy.

Then we were off to Winchs Pine Grove Farm and learned about some pretty cool technology thats come out from robotic milkers, including following a cows cycle through her milk.

While at the farm we also had lunch.

Then back on the bus and off to Meister Cheese where we learned about their 110 year history as well as had a great tour to see how their cheese is made and their new intake facility.

Thank you to everyone who joined us on the bus.

Still time to register for the two remaining Roadshows this month.

See details below and register on the link provided!

One of the unique benefits of being a Farm First Dairy Cooperative is our self funded Milk Income Loss Disaster program.

While we hope our members never have to use this, our board President, John Rettler, has called it a "little peace of mind" that if there is an event beyond the producers control, this can be a little help in the interim.

This past year there was a snowstorm in March that affected 155 of our dairy farm members that we were able to help when they had to dump their milk because it could not be picked up. FarmFirst's office staff, member services and field reps, the plants and the board of directors worked diligently to get claims processed and deliver checks. This is an extremely daunting task and showed the teamwork attitude of our organization and its partners.

Last week our General Manager, Mick Homb, delivered a check to the Guttmann family for a fire they had.

A couple things John Guttmann said was that he knew they had it but was very happy that his rep Dan Pate had reached out and got all the information because there was so many things going on.

He was also very happy with the constant communication and the hand delivery of the check by our GM.

FarmFirst is proud of our "Boots on the Ground" cooperative team and thankful for our dairy farm families.
