Seasoned snowboarder and Shiner Chris Dabner was chasing untouched powder in Canada last season, putting in three days at Revelstoke Mountain Resort and then one day with Eagle Pass Heli. "My favorite moment was probably just dropping into a huge open face with perfect snow with the homies," said Chris. "Hard to beat that feeling!"

During Black History Month we at Shine United thought it would be a great opportunity to highlight one of our local clients whose focus is racial justice in real estate: Own It: Building Black Wealth. We collaborated last fall to revitalize their logo and website, and design their first billboard which could be seen throughout Dane County. Discover more about the nonprofit and their mission here:

At the close of summer a talented crew from Shine and Kingdom Filmworks was on location with our client, the Monona Terrace Community and Convention Center, to capture the iconic lakeside setting for an upcoming print and digital campaign. Here are a few snapshots from behind the scenes featuring Alyssa Villarreal from 10 MGMT as a bride-to-be withTim Fitch as the Director of Photography. In addition to the production teams, shout out to Chaney Perkins, gaffer from Light Force of Wisconsin, Kerrie Clark for hair and makeup, Jackie Shanahan for wardrobe styling, and Monona Terrace for catering. Last fall Shiner Emily took a trip with her sister to Pisgah National Forest in North Carolina, where they drove a long, winding road to get to the Looking Glass Falls. "The falls were a lot bigger than we expected! Pictures don't do it justice in terms of how tall it really is," said Emily.
