“CAN YOU FIX MY HORSE PHOTO?”

Judge for yourself: the examples shown here deal mainly with things that can inadvertently creep into a horse photo’s background, or which are otherwise beyond a horse lover’s control, but we also include a few additional examples—plus, given the time of year, a couple seasonal enhancements! However, not all of these pictures necessarily needed salvation—sometimes, for a special occasion or simply a change of pace, we think it’s fun to add a little extra color or excitement! So please let us know how well you feel we do—or, better yet, send us one or more photos you think need fixing for a free evaluation, recommendations and pricing. And what you fear might take an act of god to fix may actually not be all that difficult or expensive. Plus, If you like, we can then finish the job by turning your “fixed” picture into a treasured photo blanket, framed print, mounted canvas, acrylic popout, tote, pillow, poster… or any number of other valued keepsakes! Make great gifts, with gift certificates (plus limited-time savings) also available. Message us here, email [email protected] or call 1-877-N1-Horse (1-877-614-6773).

NEED HELP WITH YOUR HORSE PHOTOS?
HOW ABOUT FOR FREE?

Combining two or more pictures is something we often do, especially when one of them isn’t all that eye-catching on its own. While some may be great shots, others are not but, together, when done right, they can score far higher than the sum of their parts—especially once we’ve tweaked them a bit further! So let us know what you think of these combinations—including which ones you like best! In fact, offer some feedback and we’ll happily return the favor: simultaneously send us up to a handful of photos (email [email protected] or message via Facebook) and we’ll gladly share our recommendations on how best to handle them (plus may even do some of the work for you FREE)! Moreover, if you’re a horse rescue, or other deserving equine group, please CONTACT US as we eagerly look to donate more of our services at little to no cost! To see more, go to Equine Prints on Facebook, or contact us, as much of this is not yet on our website.

WHICH OF THESE PICTURES
DO YOU LIKE BEST?

We've enhanced the top-left photo—and are now looking for your feedback! Do you prefer the original or one of our enhancements? Or what if you didn’t have to choose just one? How about four (or more), for example, in the same framed print? (See such a framed print in the comments below!) Would that change your recommendation? Or do you think your horse photos should never be enhanced like this? Even if there's something unsightly in the background? (See a couple such examples in the comments below.) In return for your feedback, we'll gladly similarly enhance one of your photos, if you're so inclined! Just confirm your interest (via Facebook or email [email protected]) and we'll forward nine total treatments for your review. Then tell us what you think, including which ones you like best, plus attach a photo. We'll send back a digitally enhanced image you can use on your phone or computer—at no further cost or obligation. It's that simple! (These new effects are not yet on our website!) Limited-time offer!

HOW BEST TO REMEMBER 2020?
LIKE MARE D***S WOULD...

That’s Mare D***s of Beebe, AR, with Magdalena G ("Maggi"), whom we first posted here nearly five years ago after she ordered a shirt with the name of her newly adopted Arab rescue on the sleeve. Mare grew "anxious" to get what she called "our" shirt when Maggi suddenly became ill but she didn’t plead, beg, or otherwise pressure us—not even after learning ‘their’ shirt was temporarily back ordered. And Mare thanked us more than once for the concern we’d shown once her horse was better and the shirt was on its way. But what we didn’t learn till after requesting a picture of the two of them together, and she sent us the accompanying photo, was that she'd been 2005 Ms. Wheelchair Arkansas—and almost since birth she's been in a wheelchair! Indeed, Mare seemed to share it almost as an afterthought, explaining how Maggi "was a handful today" when this picture was taken, adding in parentheses: "(She pawed my wheelchair demanding to graze rather than pose.)" Wheelchair? What wheelchair? We had no idea! And in the photo she sent, you can barely see the chair. But, then, Mare grew up as "the youngest of six dairy farm kids... climbing hay lofts and trees, riding snowmobiles, three & four wheelers, go karts, and of course horses...." Now the mother of two, she apparently still rides: "I've been told many a time I maybe shouldn't... but we also drive horses.... Driving our Haflinger is a blast!" Sound like someone we might learn something from? Think about it—and happy new year!

KINDLY NOTE HOW THINGS IMPROVE
WHEN WE ALL PULL TOGETHER!

Maybe it’s an omen for 2021: the story of Rachel Swank, a Clay City, IN, teenager facing several devastating challenges, and Willow, her special needs Mustang—which we first posted over four and a half years ago after making her a shirt. That shirt, with a horse on the front and Willow’s name along a sleeve, “reminded her how blessed she is and how much she has to be thankful for!” mom Esther explained at the time, adding “Rachel’s father passed away when she was 9… Since then, she’s had to deal with losing our family home to a fire, me having thyroid cancer and surgery, helping with her older sister who is disabled and has behavioral issues (and who recently had also underwent scoliosis surgery)…” and finally being diagnosed with her own emotional disability—all by age 14. Then, for Christmas, family friends gave Rachel a first generation born domesticated Mustang with special needs of her own: Willow didn't come with much training plus "when we got her she was even thinner than she is now, but she's making progress and is now semi rideable." The response to our initial post, which included the picture shown here, generated more than 3,100 Likes, 170 Loves, nearly 120 Shares, 63 Comments and even a handful of Wows! All of which ended up making Rachel’s mom cry! It happened when we suggested she have a look little more than a week after posting: “I appreciate the support we’ve received from so many!!!” mom Esther told us. “It renews my faith in humanity!!” And, she added, “That’s a lot of Likes!!!! Lol brings tears to my eyes!!!” With comments like “Go Rachel. So proud of you. Your horse Willow will be your pal and a great horse. Be patient with him.” And “This is so cool! I’m so happy for Rachel and Willow too, they have each other!” And “God bless you and your beautiful horse, I know you will be a success together!!!!” And when we later messaged Esther we’d also be sending a stall nameplate for Willow with coloring and design matching the lettering on Rachel’s shirt, her mom responded: “Oh my!!!! Now I’m bawling!!! Thank you!!! I’m… humbled by everyone’s kindness!!!” So ponder this a little perhaps in coming days, while staying safe—and Happy New Year!

BLINDLY SURGING INTO 2021:
THINK YOU’VE GOT IT TOUGH?

Here’s Brady in a picture we first posted three years ago, receiving a not so uncommon equestrian gift: him grazing his beloved mare on one side of a big fluffy blanket while sitting in the saddle in the middle of a beautiful field on the other—a gift prompted in part by his horse’s early passing (euthanized a couple months earlier at the age of 13). But what makes this picture so different and compelling is the rider: Brady is blind! “He rode her for 10 years, they were partners for sure,” mother Bonnie Nevels of Norman, OK, explained at the time. “Even though our son will not see what is on the blanket, his horse will be with him when he uses it and feels the softness and can hug it like she is still with him.” So if you need any inspiration as we enter a new year no doubt fraught with all sorts of challenges, think of Brady plus trust in your mount—and be ready for whatever kind of ride 2021 brings!
