JPBuffington Photography What inspires me as a Photographer Life is full of beauty, all around, in everything we do, touch and see. This is what drives me as a photographer.

The natural world is an ever changing canvas for all of us to rejoice in. What I try to do is capture the moments of splendor, when everything is in perfect harmony or perfect change. When the perfect morning breaks with the first rays of light kissing the sky, that magical moment of the first dance between a bride and groom, a child's look of pure and innocent joy, the magic that happens on stage

when the musicians and crowd are part of some higher level of consciousness, or when God's light touches the horizon for the last time in a day, this is what drives me to capture the moment. The moment that is gone in an instant, the moment that never was, the moment that we yearn to experience yet again, captured to rejoice in time and time again. I am based out of Manchester, Tennessee and serve all of Middle Tennessee and beyond.

I haven't posted anything on this page in quite sometime however, rest assured, the creative process continues! I am, as always, knee deep in image taking. For those so inclined, please join me on instagram as I am updating with new images, images deep from the archive and some golden oldies being shared multiple times a week. At this time I am much more active on there but don't hesitate to interact with me here if you choose.

I had one of those creative days on Sunday. The day that was most needed. The day when I was completely in the moment, focused on seeing and being...being a part of the landscape, immersing myself in it. I knew before I developed the images I would be pleased. Sometimes, often times, these Zen moments do not happen. Other times, it is unavoidable.

I have been neglecting this page, but no worries, I have not been neglecting my craft. Peak colors should be arriving in about a week. Early glimpse of what is to come in the next few days. Fantastic drama going on in the sky provided the mood and really let the colors pop!

We spent a week out west camping in Kings Canyon National Park. Needless to say, we saw some amazing scenery and I had some amazing light! Here is the very first image I have processed (didn't need much, light was phenomenal). This is neither my best to display, just the first I opened up to illustrate the amazing display at dusk. This scene experienced I feel was a true gift to admire. © Jon Buffington - JPB Photography
