Lori is known as The Database Diva because she teaches sales and marketing professionals how to make more money using their #1 asset, their customer database. She is founder and president of Aviva, LLC, a database marketing consulting firm that specializes in drip marketing systems, mailing lists, database cleanup and management. Lori is a national speaker on social media (how to integrate your of
fline and online social communities), database marketing and CRM, and is a past-president of the Direct Marketing Association of St. Louis. The DMA gave her the organization’s top prize, The Direct Marketer of the Year Award. Her email newsletter, “The Database Marketing Hotwire,” was the recipient of the Apex Award for Newsletter Writing Excellence 2 years in a row. As an equal-opportunity database marketing proselytizer, Lori works with companies that have very small marketing budgets and large organizations that can spend millions, yet she always sees the same phenomenon with both: Success is based on a 60-30-10 formula. Sixty percent of the success of a marketing campaign is based on the quality of your database, 30% on the offer and 10% on everything else. Therefore, your priority should always be on managing your database. Lori says there’s one thing you should know about her when you take one of her workshops…
“I subscribe to the philosophy of Howard Aiken who said, ‘Don’t worry about people stealing your ideas. If your ideas are any good, you’ll have to ram them down people’s throats.’”
Lori holds a Bachelor of Journalism degree from the University of Missouri/Columbia, and in her spare time likes to pretend she’s an accomplished metalsmith artist.
