With the recent conversations surrounding AI, children and the images we share online, I’ve been thinking a lot about this as both a parent and a photographer.
I have always asked my clients for permission before sharing their images on my website or social media, and I have always respected their answer.
As a photographer, I LOVE being able to share my work. These photographs are my art. Sharing them is also one of the biggest ways future clients find me, see what I do and ultimately decide to trust me with their own family's memories. So when you give me permission to share your images, please know that I truly appreciate it. 🤍
But I also completely understand when a family chooses not to have their child's images shared online and there is absolutely no pressure to say yes. Your decision will never change the care I put into your session or the images I create for you.
Technology is changing incredibly fast, and I think it's important that we continue having conversations about what that means for the images we put online, especially when those images include our children.
At the end of the day, they are your children and your photographs, and I want you to feel comfortable with how they are shared. 🤍
