Middle We amplify the hidden and unexpected voices of rural America. We work like we have something to prove, and we partner with clients who work the same way.

Rural America is home to countless hidden and unexpected voices that are united by an unrivaled work ethic and unyielding resolve. These voices are at the center of rural America’s culture and lifestyle, and our spirit is a reflection of that. Our clients are essential to the health and vitality of the communities they represent and serve, and they need their stories to be heard not just around th

e corner but across the globe. We’re here to amplify those stories and connect rural audiences or brands to the people, organizations, and movements that support and champion them.

The story of 502.

The history of 502 is a story of pluck that exemplifies the spirit of entrepreneurism.

Blade Mages didn’t set out to create a video production company, but he wasn’t going to let a decisive opportunity pass him by. At 19, he was attending Kansas State University, working at the Manhattan Regional Airport and in the midst of a heated internal debate about his future when he received an odd phone call.

The weathered voice of his high school video instructor, John Culley, spoke with urgency on the other end of the line. In school, Blade had fallen in love with video production. The news-style show he produced with his friends was featured on the local cable television station, the owner of which, Culley was urging him to contact immediately. ‘How weird,’ Blade thought; but he complied, quickly dialing the number of the station. The owner directed him to a man on the East Coast who needed a contractor to produce short commercials for small town businesses that would run on local cable networks.

“I was told you own a production company,” the man said. “Would you be interested?”
