Sophia Becker is a Holocaust Survivor. After her husband passed away - also a Survivor - she spent the last several years fulfilling his dying wish: publish his memoirs.
Martin Becker was 5 years old when the N***s invaded his hometown and his father was conscripted into the Red Army, never to be seen again.
Martin's own life was at risk, for the very fact that he was Jewish.
Over the course of the next few years, young Martin traversed turbulent waters, hid in corn fields, and starved in basements. After his mother died, he was alone, sometimes hiding in plain sight. Sometimes under the wing of orphanages.
But, against all odds, Martin survived.
He became a bar mitzvah in British-mandate Palestine, and went on to fight for the independence of his people.
Today, Holocaust Survivors like Martin are few and far between. Most have passed away, and many have never told their stories to a soul. Now, more than ever, we must educate our children. We must educate ourselves. We must read the stories of those who survived, and of those - like Martin's parents - who did not.
Please, help Sophia fulfill her husband's lifelong desire and dying wish - that people across the world will read his story and will learn from it.
