To mark the 20th anniversary of Let Them Eat Art (my favorite Maplewood event), local businesses were invited to participate in ‘The Art of Antoinette’. Each business received a Marie Antoinette bust to decorate in a way that reflects their unique personality, products, or services. The busts will be on display by the information booth during the event. You can vote for your favorite online. They are a lot of fun.
I wanted to ask a favor. Please take a look at our entry, ‘Dreams of Versailles’, and, if you like it, please vote for it. You can vote at https://cityofmaplewoodmo.rja.revize.com/forms/12002 Thanks in advance.

We shot this a couple weeks back and created the logo, too. Heath has a lot of positive energy. I want to catch one of his boxing classes sometime.

Several images that I shot from the Special Olympics Missouri Polar Plunge at Lake St. Louis on February 4. What an amazing event. Great people. Having fun. Doing good. And a little craziness jumping in the chilly water. :)

Ayse and I went to California earlier this year for her Washington University Dental School class reunion. Many of her classmates were friends of mine as it was a small and enthusiastic group of people. It was nice to see them all doing well and enjoying their lives so many years later. We had a chance to see our daughter Erin and my brother, Leo, too. These are pics from one of the evenings we got together. Thanks to Lisa Ryan and everyone who organized this. Dental

I'm behind on posting. We have been crazy busy. Here are some pics from Let Them Eat Art the weekend before last. Cassandra showed her collage artwork and got a chance to see how these events work. People really loved it. She'll need to do more prints for her next venture. She even did a couple tarot readings. This year, they gave the artists spaces and most had tents to display their work. And people came out in droves to see it. I really think folks missed LTEA, especially since it didn't happen last year.

Huge props to the Maplewood PD, FD and Public Works. We had a storm quickly blow in about a half hour before it ended. Many firefighters and police showed up, many who were off duty, to help the artists take down their tents and move their artwork to a safe place. We actually stored art for a couple artists here at the studio.

Afterwards we went to Casa Maya STL and when we finished at close to 11:30, Maplewood's Public Works were cleaning up. I heard they finished around 1:30AM, just before another, larger storm front swept it.
