🌸 BLOOM KINDNESS! 🌸

Every day, simple acts of kindness make our community a little brighter. To celebrate the people who Bloom Kindness in Marblehead, Whipple Bee Flower Farm and Discover Marblehead are partnering to recognize community members with a seasonal bouquet of locally grown flowers.

Is there someone you’d like to recognize for the kindness they bring to our community?

Visit the Bloom Kindness page and fill out a quick form to tell us about them. Share a few sentences about who they are and how they Bloom Kindness — whether through a thoughtful gesture, helping a neighbor, giving back to the community, or simply being someone who makes life a little brighter for those around them.

We’ll be in touch about your submission and work with you on the best way to recognize them.

Thank you for helping us celebrate the everyday kindness that makes Marblehead such a special community!

🌼 A Few Details:
- We’ll work with you on how best to recognize the person you’ve shared with us.
- Flower deliveries are available in Marblehead only.
- One submission per person, please.
- Bloom Kindness takes place during the local flower harvest season, June through September.
- Local flowers are provided by Whipple Bee Flower Farm and Five Foot Flower Farm of Marblehead.

🛍️ SHOP LOCAL: BUS STOP

If you’ve spent any time shopping in downtown Marblehead, chances are you know Bus Stop! Located at 85 Washington Street, this longtime local favorite has been part of the Marblehead shopping scene since 1975.

And yes, there’s a story behind the name! The corner where the shop is located was once known simply as “the bus stop,” where residents caught buses to Boston and Salem—making Bus Stop a natural name when the store first opened.

What began as a small shop filled with handmade crafts by owner Kathy Bruin and local artists has grown over the years into a destination for carefully selected clothing, accessories, and gifts. You’ll find distinctive styles, beautiful colors, natural fibers, and plenty of items made right here in the USA—all with the personal service you expect from a local shop.

📚 MEMBER SPOTLIGHT: JENNIFER E. RIZZO

This week, we’re excited to shine our Member Spotlight on local author, J.E. Rizzo, Historical Fiction Author — and the timing couldn’t be better! Her debut historical fiction novel, Uprising, officially releases tomorrow, September 1!

Jennifer’s path to becoming an author has included a few interesting chapters of its own. Her book, Uprising, is wet in England during the Peasants’ Revolt of 1381, Uprising combines historical fiction, a strong female protagonist, and a touch of magic.

Congratulations to Jennifer on the release of Uprising! We’re so happy to have her as part of the Discover Marblehead community. 📖✨
