There’s something about a new office setup that just hits different. ✨

A little rearranging. Maybe a purchase or two. And suddenly it feels like a fresh start. Like your space is finally matching the energy you’ve been carrying.

I’m entering a new era over here. One where I need real concentration and a spot where my kids can entertain themselves for at least 30 minutes. 😂 IYKYK

And yes, still rocking the pineapple jammies. I swear I own other pjs, but apparently my best content ideas only show up when I’m wearing these guys. They’re basically my uniform at this point. 🍍

The new setup isn’t the only thing changing.

I know I’ve hinted at this before, and I sound like a broken record, but something big is coming to DEV Communications. No special deals. No anniversary celebration. Just a real, meaningful shift that’s been a long time coming.

It’s actually happened once before, but this time it’s sticking. Because my mission has evolved. My goals have shifted. And for the first time in a while, everything is aligning the way it’s supposed to.

I can’t wait to share it with you. 🖤

Your message is getting lost...

I was on my way to meet a friend for brunch when I drove past a billboard that left me dumbfounded. Not because it was good. Because it was clearly AI-generated.

I remember it said 40% off. I have no idea what it was 40% off of. I was too distracted by the graphic to even process the message.

That’s the problem.

Now let me be clear because I am not here to tell you to stop using AI altogether. There are ways to use it well in your marketing:

✅ Organizing your content strategy
✅ Brainstorming content ideas
✅ Drafting captions with thoughtful, accurate information

All of that? Go for it. AI is a great tool in those areas.

But graphic design is a different story. If you’re not prompting it correctly, if you’re not feeding it your brand, your personality, your audience…you’re going to get a generic output that looks like everyone else’s. And when your design is distracting people, your message never lands.

Hire a graphic designer. Work with someone who understands your brand. Or at the very least, learn how to instruct AI in a way that actually reflects you.

Your message is too important to get lost in a pretty but forgettable graphic. 🖤

It was a great day for golf. For everyone else on the course anyway. 😂⛳

I spent the day sponsoring and volunteering at the Marcellus Together Golf Tournament at Tuscarora Golf Club and it was such a great time. Watching the golfers come out, being part of something that brings the community together — this is exactly the kind of stuff that fills my cup.

Showing up for the community is something I take seriously, both in business and in life. And today was a good reminder of why that matters. 🤍
