This week, we’re highlighting the James Adams Floating Theatre marker in Bath, North Carolina. From 1913–1941, this traveling showboat brought live entertainment to coastal communities across the region.

A visit aboard the floating theater by author Edna Ferber inspired her novel Show Boat, which later became one of the most influential musicals in American theater history. 🎭🚢
