I am starting a new LinkedIn series called Digital Trust in Real Estate.

The first article is titled: The Website Is Part of the Transaction

For years, I have thought about websites through the lens of design, development, SEO, content, usability, and conversion.

But the more I work in the real estate and 1031 exchange space, the more I see that a website is not just a marketing asset.

It is part of the trust-building process for highly complex financial services and transactions.

Before someone fills out a form, makes a call, asks a CPA for a recommendation, refers a client, or takes the next step in a complex transaction, they often interact with the website first.

They are not just looking for information.

They are looking for clarity, confidence, credibility, and direction.

That changes how we should think about digital experience in real estate.

The website is not separate from the transaction.

It is often already participating in it.

Digital Trust in Real Estate, Part 1 For years, I have looked at websites through the lens of design, development, content, SEO, performance, usability, and conversion. All of those things still matter.

Website Designer… or Something More?

This is part of a bigger series I’ve been working on around the evolving human role in a world of AI agents.

Because here’s what I’m seeing…

More tools
More automation
More AI
More rabbit trails
More distractions

All leading to more time-wasting detours for your business.

For example, businesses still searching for things like “website designer near me” often get exactly that… a list of local designers.

But what they actually need is much bigger and not necessarily local.

👨‍💻 They don’t just need a local designer.
👩‍💻 They don’t just need a local developer.

🚀 They need people who can help them navigate the growing world of AI tools, agents, and digital resources.

They need someone who can make the entire digital experience work better for both their business and their customers.

And that requires a different level of thinking. That’s the shift.

Design → Appearance
vs
Digital Experience Architect → Structure, user experience, accessibility, communication, performance, lead generation, SEO

OR

Development → Function
vs
Digital Experience Contractor → Ex*****on, integration, coordination, timelines, quality control, system performance, tool alignment, managing teams, managing AI agents, and ensuring everything works together as a complete system

If you’re a business owner, this changes how you hire.

If you’re in the industry, this changes how you position yourself.

I just published a new article breaking down the role of the Digital Experience Architect:

Curious how others are seeing this evolve inside their teams and organizations.

Should I be searching for a website designer near me? Learn why a digital experience architect that is not necessarily local may be the better choice.

Website Designer vs Developer… or Something More?

For years, we’ve used titles like “web designer” or “developer” to describe what we do.

But the more I work with businesses, teams, and AI-driven tools, the more I’ve realized something…

Those titles don’t fully capture the role anymore.

Today, building a website is not just about design or code.
It’s about structure, strategy, systems, and ex*****on.

It’s about:
• Planning how everything works together
• Building with long-term growth in mind
• Aligning SEO, user experience, and conversions
• Managing the tools and platforms behind the scenes

In many ways, the role has evolved into something closer to an architect and a contractor.

Someone who designs the blueprint and also brings it to life.

I put together a new article that breaks this down and reframes what this role really looks like today:

If you’re a business owner, this will help you better understand what to look for.

If you’re in the industry, it might change how you see your own role.

Curious to hear your thoughts on this one.

Over the past year or two, across multiple live projects, I’ve been testing and refining something that’s often misunderstood in SEO:

The Role of Easy-To-Rank Keywords.

This isn’t theory. It’s based on real campaigns, real ranking data, and real client work.

Lower-competition, long-tail, intent-driven keywords may not drive massive traffic on their own. But they do something incredibly important:

• They generate early ranking signals
• They validate search intent
• They build topical authority
• They create momentum

And momentum compounds.

In the article I just published on Monterey Premier, I break down how this fits into a broader AI Authority Building Strategy.

I also walk through a practical example of how a simple Homeowner’s Guide can help a roofing company generate over a year’s worth of high-volume keyword topics, all clustered around that central guide, positioning themselves as the authority on homeowner protection in their market.

I think the examples in the article will be super eye-opening and inspirational for all you digital marketers out there 🤓

The goal is not to stay small. The goal is to build strategically.

The leaders who win in search over the next few years will be the ones who balance quick wins with long-term authority and consistently build trust with both Google and the LLMs that are increasingly shaping discovery.

If you’re mapping out your 2026 SEO roadmap, this sequencing matters.

Curious how others are structuring their keyword strategy right now.

Learn why balancing high-volume and easy-to-rank keywords is the smarter SEO strategy. Includes expert insights, real examples, and how to build topic clusters that grow organic traffic efficiently.

If you’re already working inside Word, Outlook, Teams, and OneDrive, you may be closer to using AI effectively than you think.

I recently started using Microsoft Copilot in a very simple way:

I take the notes I already keep in a Word document and let Copilot turn them into a clean end-of-day summary, recommended next-day agenda, and action items.

- No new project management tool.
- No complicated setup.

Just clearer communication and less friction at the end of the day.

This small workflow has already saved me time and helped me stay more organized, especially as a remote worker. I wrote up exactly how I’m doing it, including the prompt I use, for anyone just getting started with AI at work.

If your team already lives in the Microsoft ecosystem, this is a low-risk, practical way to start using AI without changing how you work.

A practical workflow on how to use Copilot to create daily planning recommendations that help professionals stay organized and prepared for the next day.

Business Owners and Sales Reps!

If you own a business or are in sales and you are not blogging, you are working way too hard and probably being left in the dust!

Imagine Having Your Best Salesperson Working 24/7 All Over The World For Free!!!!

Imagine your best explanation, your best answer, your best story working for you while you sleep. Filtering out the wrong leads. Attracting the right ones. Shortening sales cycles. Increasing close rates.

A blog takes that salesperson in you and puts them on the web around the clock. It allows you to answer objections, tell stories, and establish credibility long before a conversation starts.

Instead of repeating the same explanations over and over, your blog does the heavy lifting. Prospects arrive informed. Trust is already built. The sales conversation shifts from convincing to confirming.

A blog captures your expertise, answers questions before the first call, and builds trust before price is ever discussed. It’s the best performing sales asset you don’t yet own.

Want your best sales pitch working for you 24/7?

Then you need a blog.

Learn more on my blog post, updated for 2026 :-)

Do you need a blog in 2026? Learn why blogging still drives SEO, AI visibility, and trust for sales-driven service businesses.

My latest:

"How Building Websites Made Me a Better Business Coach, Consultant, and Brand Evangelist."

When I started building websites over 30 years ago, I had no idea those late-night design sessions, client meetings, and troubleshooting marathons were shaping something much deeper than technical skills. They were shaping me.

Over the years I learned that web development teaches you how to listen, think ahead, coach people through their ideas, and help them bring their vision to life. It taught me how to empower others, build scalable strategies, and turn scattered thoughts into real-world outcomes.

Those lessons eventually shaped my approach as a Brand Evangelist, Marketing Technologist, and Business Coach.

And if there’s one thing I hope you take from this piece, it’s this:

👉 The work you’re doing today is preparing you for leadership roles you may not even see coming yet.

If you're curious how technical work translates into coaching, consulting, and personal growth, here’s the full article:

I hope it encourages someone who needs a reminder that their experience has purpose.

Discover how 30 years of web development shaped my skills as a Business Coach, consultant, and brand evangelist, and how technical work can inspire leadership growth.
