Today spring is officially “springing”, at least according to the calendar, and the interpretive department at Hungry Mother State Park is already gearing up for the upcoming season. Handy Graphics created a unique, eye-catching design just for the interpretive department and fabricated some new signs to help point out the Hungry Mother program locations throughout the upcoming season. Be sure to follow these signs and “Let your adventure begin”. Whether it be a hike to Molly’s K**b, a talk about the famous Hungry Mother bridge history, or maybe a look at the spillway and the CCC’s involvement in building the park, you never know what adventure they may take you on! Also, be sure to thank the Friends of Hungry Mother for sponsoring these signs for the park. Thank you Hungry Mother State Park for doing business through the years with us here at Handy Graphics, it is greatly appreciated.

Has the winter weather damaged your signage, or maybe a random “freak of nature” incident?
For example, a delivery truck passing by your business and the rear axle just comes out and goes flying into your sign?
When that happen at Blue Ridge Analytical in Wytheville, they contracted us to fabricate a replacement sign. We were able to get their new sign up before the ice and cold came in a couple weeks ago. Not only did we replace the sign with colors more accurate to their actual logo, but we also removed/disposed of the old one and install the new one back into their original post. Thank you, BRA for your business! If the ice, wind or anything else has damaged your signage, awnings, window lettering, work vehicles, etc. contact Handy Graphics and let us replace/repair them. Many times, insurance and or town/county grants, etc. can help cover much of the cost. THANK YOU! Marion Library for allowing Handy Graphics the opportunity to build this sign! It has been a fun job to get to custom design this sign, fabricate and install. We still have some detailing to finish up with more trim along with a sign along bottom rail that says Main Library, and with some fine detailing touch ups. Everyone keep your eyes on this project to see the last few details come together. Also, look out Chilhowie and Saltville Libraries new signs coming soon.

This time of the year becomes common place for dinners and banquets to show members of our communities how much we appreciate their service. Recently, we printed these t-shirts for Tazewell County Fire Chief's Association to give at the fire and rescue appreciation dinner. Each member of Tazewells first responders received one of these eye catching T's. Man is it HOT outside, and inside too, if your desk is near the window! AC just not cutting it? You could really use some tinted windows about now! The ladies in this office really agreed when Handy Graphics was tinting their windows. Notice the HUGE difference the tinted windows to the right are in comparison to the window to the left. You can see the sun blaring in on that desk (imagine the heat), yet the desk in front of the tinted windows have absolutely NO sun beating in on them. The photo speaks for itself! Some amazing things are coming together up in the mountains! The Blue Ridge Discovery Center is restoring/repurposing the former Konnarock Girl School to become a large nature center. This future facility will be a place to learn about the wonders of our areas unique biodiversity. Trails, camps, discovery center, guided hikes, research, naturalist rallies, citizen science opportunities, and more are a part of their vision for this facility. Handy Graphics was happy to fabricate & install this 4x8 sign displaying the project currently under construction to make this dream a reality.
