Marion Hotel Tax/Better City Parks Amendment A citizen-led initiavite to raise the current Lodging Tax on hotel guests from 1%-3% to generate new funds for Marion City Parks. Please message us to sign!

This tax WILL NOT be paid by Marion residents because we do not stay at our local hotels. Support with your vote in November! We are a group of citizens trying to raise the Marion Hotel Tax from 1% to 3% and dedicate the new funds to the Marion Parks Department. Most other cities have at least a 3% hotel tax, and this tax would not be paid by Marion residents because we don't stay at our hotels. We need 471 signatures to get this issue on the ballot in November.

🗳️ Vote YES for better public green spaces! Let’s bring Marion Parks into the 21st century!

🤷‍♂️ This tax would rarely if ever be paid by a Marion resident because we do not stay at our own hotels! We tried to be smart about it 🧠

👍 Plus, going from 1% to 3% would put us even with WM, Jonesboro, Searcy, Cabot, and most AR communities with the tax, but we would still be lower than most out-of-state cities that are at 4%, 7%, or as even 10% like Germantown 😮

👉 Early voting is happening now, M-F 8am-6pm and Sat. 10am-4pm, at Marion Patriot Arena, WM First Baptist Church, and WM 7th Street Church of Christ!

⚽️ Marion may have grown but the parks system sure hasn’t! So many residents WITHOUT access to public green spaces. 🏃‍♂️🛝
But we can change this!
