It is indeed all about the bass, meet Josh:
Michigan native, badass, and world class, Josh Carlson! I met Josh at the Marquette Music Hall Of Fame while playing the opening set for the ceremonies a couple years back, he was running sound. Josh is a multi talented musician, songwriter, singer, sound engineer, super human of all kinds and one hell of a good man. Him and I fostered a friendship through one of the local music stores he manages, Jim’s Music. He let me play a very very expensive Martin D28 kept in a glass case when visiting once!!! Come to find out he’s one of the best bass players I’ve met and is a true pro through and through. When it came to choosing players for the album, Human, I knew right away I’d love to have Josh be a part of this project. To my humble surprise he agreed. Josh ended up playing bass on 10 of the songs and killed every single one. Josh has been a founding member and pillar of the awesome jam band Not Quite Canada for over a decade and has an amazing history of live performance and recording under his belt. So full of gratitude for all his hard work and skill on Human. Go listen to the whole album and keep your ears open for his foundational and melodic bass work throughout. Thanks for elevating this whole project Josh, forever grateful. Here's to many more in the seasons to come!!
