Have been falling down the biggest and bestest ART-GRAPHIC-DESIGN rabbit hole today after discovering this site, which after having registered and creating a profile and spending a few hours exploring ... I think I would say feels something like Pinterest in the manner that content is offered to the user, only FAR FAR FAR more smoothly and without all of the irritations of Pinterest's algorithm and in-your-face manner unrelated paid content is thrown at you randomly, as well as all of the things for sale on there now today ... DesignInspiration.com feels like a very tightly cultivated ART-ONLY Pinterest to me as I explore and find inspiration to save for another day ... much like this manifesto, which honestly ... don't know I could say it any better, but THIS is what I weight and consider every time I sit down and work on MY story and how - in the end - I will tell it .. contemplating what that might look like now, and how that has changed and grown and evolved from the first moment I was aware I was going to tell mine ... and I ENJOY that challenge - it's hits all of the feel-good parts of my brain and challenges me nearly every day that I take time to sit with it ... and whatever I do, make sure that the momentum is positive and it keeps moving forward ... I have never been concerned with the speed, but always wanted to do it RIGHT - by ME ... and more and more these days, I see it all coming together and with that, it's easier and easier to spend time with it and allow myself to excitedly explore the creativity side of storytelling as I try new things and find what resonates most with me, and I hope someday with others as well ...

But, for now - hop over and check this new site out! It's completely made my day today and is perhaps the best art/design-related discovery of the week!

The more I work on my memoir, the more I've realized that I can literally define my life by music - from the vinyl albums my mom played in my youth and all the artists I've now loved across decades, thru relationships and careers and huge life changes.

So, I'm hoping to get in the habit of sharing more of those artists I absolutely love ... and sometimes I find I love a particular song, then watch the music video and WOW! It TOTALLY makes it that much more powerful and hits ALL THE FEELS!

So - this is my current favorite video ... Bleachers featuring Bruce Springsteen. And a fun little tidbit: I've actually met and hugged The Boss, in 2012 during an Obama political rally the day prior to his re-election! And I just gotta say - that is one man who has only gotten better with age.

The girls and I were watching a favorite witchy YouTube lady last night and she had the most adorable tiny apothecary glass bottles with cork tops ... for careful - and beautiful - storage of her many treasures and more important spell work!

So, they're planning on using some allowance money to get their own sets of them ... and after extensive Amazon searching ... this set is perhaps the most adorable of them all!

Woke up after a few hours of sleep last night with a migraine ... probably from dehydration earlier in the day despite my best efforts ... took my meds and they helped but couldn't fall back asleep, and as I was lying in bed I suddenly had a random design idea pop into my head ... and before it got lost, never to be seen again in the of my brain, I hopped over to my desk and started working on making it a reality ...
.. and before I knew it, I'd forgotten about my headache, several hours had passed and I had pulled together an entire new design collection! (I love it when things like that happen, and in my creative experience, I've found that when it does - it's best to drop whatever you can and totally run with it because it *almost* always pays off for me in the long run!

Vintage Ephemera Digital Collage Papers is the latest addition in my shop - I've listed two of what will be many variations of my new designs already and really geeked at how they turned out and am planning to continue to work this collection and flush out a few more ideas I have for it before listing the entire bundle in my shop this weekend!

I have LONG collected vintage paper ephemera - whether digitally online from sources of public domain or by purchasing old scientific texts at thrift shops, dusty hidden bookshops or flea markets when I have the chance to attend! So, I cleaned up a variety of those images and collaged them all together for 10 digital collage papers/textures, that I then altered numerous additional times, giving me several variations in terms of color/tone/texture for each of the 10 papers!
