It has really been an awful lousy day with very lousy weather, but quite a night for paranormal investigating so I decided to bring Champ and Imp for a late night adventure to Rehoboth, MA. A haunted road known as Route 44 in Massachusetts, specifically the stretch running through the town of Rehoboth and the Bridgewater Triangle, is famously haunted by the legend of the "Redheaded Hitchhiker". According to local folklore, drivers pick up a large man roughly 35 to 55 years old in a red flannel shirt and work boots, who soon vanishes from the backseat, leaving behind the chilling sound of maniacal laughter. Who knows I could possibly have an encounter tonight with this phantom hitchhiker that mysteriously has been stalking Route 44 for many years or maybe not. After all it is just a local urban legend as it hasn't happened to many people really.

It has been yet another nice day out today and a perfect night for paranormal investigating so I decided to bring Champ and Imp for a late adventure to Dover, MA not to check out a haunted place though but to check out the area where sightings of a certain creature took place back in 1977. California along with much of the Pacific Northwest has Bigfoot, Mexico has Chupacabra, West Virginia has the Mothman, Michigan has the Dogman, New Jersey has Jersey Devil, Arkansas has the Fouke Monster, Wisconsin has Beast of Bray Road and here in Massachusetts we have the 'Dover Demon'. On the late night of April 21, 1977 three teenagers were driving down Farm Street in the suburb of Dover, MA. On one side of the dark road were houses, on the other was a short stone fence separating the road from an empty field. The driver of the car, William Bartlett, spotted a strange creature scrabbling on all fours atop the stone fence. Bartlett drew a picture of what he saw. Two hours later on April 22 and about a mile away from the first sighting there was another teenager walking home on Miller Hill Road, which intersects with Farm Street. His name was John Baxter and he saw a diminutive figure coming toward him. Thinking it was a kid he knew, he called out to him. The figure didn't respond and when they were fifteen feet away from each other, Baxter realized the thing wasn't human. It ran off on two legs and Baxter pursued it for a few steps before reconsidering. The creature stopped briefly on a rock and Baxter saw it's long toes wrap around the rock and it's upper limbs wrap around a tree and it's eyes glowed frightening Baxter. Baxter ran away, hitched a ride home and drew a picture that matched Bartlett's drawing. On the next night still on April 22, two more teenagers, Abby Brabham and Will Tainter were driving around Dover when they saw a creature in an adjoining field on Springdale Avenue, which also connects to Farm Street. Only Brabham got a good look at the creature, describing it as a hairless tan monkey with an oblong head and it's eyes glowed green. All of these sightings occurred in a little more than twenty-four hours across a stretch of two miles of Dover-and the creature who became known as the 'Dover Demon' was never seen again. It was described as 3-4 feet tall with a baby's body, a large, watermelon-shaped head, long arms and legs and its color was bright peach like almost tan. Other investigators who've looked into the case over the years have stated that the Dover Demon seemed to look like more of an alien than a demon. I agree. By the way everyone I hate to disappoint those who vouched for me to go with the name and title Dylan The Paranormal Investigator but I made an executive decision to go with Dylan The Supernatural Detective because I feel that suits me better since I not only investigate the paranormal but unexplained phenomena too.

It was such a beautiful day and it is a great night for paranormal investigating so I decided to bring Champ and Imp for a late night adventure to check out a haunted place in Middleboro, MA. It is the Peter Oliver house which was built in 1769 before the revolutionary war by Dr. Peter Oliver Jr. as a wedding gift for his wife Sally. It was believed to be a suspected spy site for Benjamin Franklin and also ancient Indian burial grounds are suspected of being close as the Wampanoag used to own the land before Peter Oliver built the house. Over the years many guests and caretakers have claimed to have seen apparitions, dark shadowy figures wandering around the property and have felt temperatures drop unexpectedly to unbelievably low temperatures. I checked out that place tonight and didn't have sn encounter or an experience but thought I heard footsteps behind me a couple of times and heard something in the woods. It could have either been the wind or a figment of my imagination too. I bought some of my equipment with me like my infrared camera and EMF Meter and still didn't find anything. Also I've been trying to decide which name and title fits me better 'Dylan The Paranormal Investigator' or 'Dylan The Supernatural Detective' I'm leaning towards the Detective because I think it is better and sounds cooler; what do you think everybody?

It is the beginning of May and I am not going to lie it has been a bit of unusual day with the weather it raining a little on and off earlier today. It is a nice enough night for paranormal investigating so I decided to bring Champ and Imp for a late night adventure to check out a haunted bridge in Dighton, MA. It is the bridge tied in with the "Bridgewater Triangle", and specifically linked to the 1675 death of Edward Bobet during King Philip's War. Witnesses have reported hearing a frantic dog barking near the bridge, believed to be connected to the loyal hound that barked and alerted Indians to Bobet's hiding spot. Over the years there have been reports of an unseen dog barking on the bridge and the spirits of Edward Bobet and his dog walking along the bridge late at night. This bridge is located right before where my sister went to high school at Bristol Aggie. It is really creepy at night time. Didn't have an encounter or an experience but it was a nice little ride. Not sure if I will be back in the future though.

It has been such a nice day out today and this is the last week of April so I decided to bring Champ and Imp for a late night adventure to check out another haunted place in Fairhaven, MA. The Millicent library which was built in the 1890s by Henry Huttleston Rogers in memory of his deceased daughter named Millicent. A made up story was created that his daughter was buried in the foundation which caused her spirit to haunt the halls in a blue light. Other stories and eye witness reports are of a late night janitor who died by slipping on a wet floor and breaking his neck while working one night and that over the years his spirit has been seen wandering and mopping the halls. The China Room which is in the library is said to be the coldest room in the building and there have been reports of paintings changing expressions and moving on their own. These Tower room which is a closed off room of the library is where the most paranormal activity has been reported such as loud phantom footsteps, orbs and a woman in blue wandering around up there and staring out the windows. I didn't witness anything, see anything or have an experience but got a very creepy vibe from this place. You can't base an investigation on a feeling or vibe though unfortunately. I'll be back here in the future for an actual investigation.
