Last week, Jorence attended the LINK Kalamazoo Meet Up at the Kalamazoo Institute of Arts .

This year the KIA is celebrating its 102nd anniversary and is showing “Future Now: Virtual Sneakers to Cutting-Edge Kicks.” The exhibition showcases nearly 60 pairs of shoes that push the boundaries of footwear design.

LINK Kalamazoo collaborated with the KIA to answer the question, “Can Shoes be Art?”

It was a wonderful event to meet more young professionals around the greater Kalamazoo area, reconnect with familiar faces at the KIA, and leave feeling inspired to create for our amazing brands!

Did you know that women make 85% of family purchasing decisions and are the fastest growing segment of boat buyers?

This is one of the most overlooked gaps in the industry. The product is right and the craftsmanship is there. But the communications strategy is still built around a buyer profile that no longer tells the whole story.

Many women want lifestyle over horsepower. "What will this make possible for my friends and family" over "what does this do at full throttle". Women are researching, comparing, and making decisions.

Our team is looking forward to the 2nd annual Global Women’s Walk! We'll be hitting the Kal-Haven trail for a 5k in support of Room to Read, a global nonprofit focused on literacy, learning, and gender equality. This year’s goal is $25,000 to support an entire school.

The Global Women's Walk celebrates women in the marine industry and is hosted by Soundings Trade Only, Metstrade, British Marine, and Marine Industry News.

Four years ago, Barrow & Co. Creative started with a simple goal: to co-create with awesome brands.

Since then, we’ve had the opportunity to work across industries, with a wide range of clients and opportunities. In that process, we’ve learned a lot about what drives real results, where we create the most value, and where our expertise is strongest.

So, as we celebrate our 4th anniversary, we’re stepping into a more focused direction.

Barrow & Co. Creative is now simply Barrow & Co., a subtle but distinct shift.

We’re also introducing a new logo and icon: the knight chess piece.

It’s a nod to how we think—strategically, several moves ahead—and, if you know our founder, a subtle reference to her Friesian horse breeding.

As we move forward, our focus is on PR and strategic communications, helping brands define their positioning, shape their narrative, and lead how they show up in the market and in the media.

This means we’re stepping away from the day-to-day ex*****on of social media management and video production and focusing instead on the strategy that drives it.
