We checked out the Food Truck Festival at District 1 Brewing Company this morning . We were there just as they got started at 11 a.m., but it was well attended even then. I'm sure the numbers were fantastic for the food trucks as the day went on! I didn't expect so many options - it was really impressive. My daughter got a smoothie from Beach Bum, and this time we decided to get food from Roro"s Kitchen. I believe this is the last food truck festival at D1 for this year, but I highly recommend you check it out next year.

We made our first visit to Stone Harvest W**e Lounge in Plover this afternoon. I was really impressed with how they converted it from the former Lucke's location with upgraded tables and seating. They have a large selection of w**e, of course, but also bourbons, bottled b**rs, canned seltzers and cocktails, and slushie old fashioneds and slushie w**e (both pictured and both really good). And the owners and staff seem great, too! Live music today was a nice bonus.

Arbuckles Eatery & Pub in downtown Stevens Point had it's End of Summer Tap Takeover tonight. Featured breweries were 3 Sheeps (Sheboygan), Avery Brewing Company (CO), Founders Brewing Company (MI), and Downeast C***r (MA). Some new b**rs were sampled and the pork nachos (new menu item) were outstanding! BTW, if you like deep dish pizza, I highly recommend you visit Arbuckles on a Tuesday. You won't find a better deep dish pizza in central Wisconsin.

Following a golf outing today, a few of us met some friends at Point Brewery. Since its pretty local for me, this is my second most frequently visited brewery, and today they had a new hazy IPA, Das Uber, that I wanted to try. In their outdoor area, they have an old 1949 Chevy delivery truck that has a faded Point B**r logo on its side. It's great when these pieces of history are preserved enough to be enjoyed by visitors. What's your favorite b**r from Point Brewery? Mine is Drop Dead Blonde!

Anchor Bay Bar & Grill on the bank of the Wisconsin River in Biron has live music most Thursdays and Sundays starting in April and going all summer long and into the fall. Yesterday the band was Antonnettes, which is a great mix of country, rock, yacht rock and everything else from the 70s to today. Anchor Bay also has great food and atmosphere everyday. Check out the nauti nachos if you find yourself out on their patio.

Wisconsin Timber Rattlers had very little offensive punch vs the Lake County Captains tonight, but it was a great night at the ballpark.
