The old adage “all press is good press” no longer holds up, not with social media weighing in with the tangible fallout since the Good Good ad went live .

There are even some rumors (Top Golf employees are reportedly banned from wearing Good Good merch until further notice), But where Good Good really messed up, aside from promoting domestic violence, was throwing their client under the bus. We get that misery likes company, but pitching a disgusting idea like this to client should never have happened, the fact the client approved doesn't make Good Good look any better, it just makes them look not just petty, but exposes their willingness to take their clients down with them if need be. Not demure. Not mindful. And definitely not cutesy.

From "creative marketing" to completely tone-deaf. 📉

Callaway Golf is facing massive backlash today and it's not just in public opinion but in the stock market, too, after releasing a promotional video with Good Good Golf that depicts a male golfer shoving a female golfer to the ground.

While the brands have deleted the clip and issued lukewarm apologies, it raises a massive question: how did an ad promoting violence against women get greenlit by corporate executives in the first place?

Apologies are a start, but real accountability requires looking at who is in the room making these decisions. And most pointedly, why did they approve? Also, notice how the agency who created the ad isn't getting the heat, it's Callaway and Good Good.
