Hey, everyone. I know it's been forever since I made a post on here, but I wanted to let everyone know that my first audiobook narration is now available on Audible. The best way to describe it is as John Constantine, but Jewish instead of Catholic. If you enjoy urban fantasy / secret magical world paired with crime drama, this will be right up your very specific alley!

For those of you here locally, you might know of Bad Dog Bakery. They closed up shop during the pandemic, but have been pursuing a new physical space. They came to me wanting to rebrand and up-level their visuals. After a long back and forth, we ended with these marks focusing on a art deco visual style.

If you're looking for a rebrand or need to up-level your company's visual presence, contact me here or at AnthonyLibonati.com.

Hey, all. Back on the freelance grind. If you or someone you know is in need of some design work, DM me!

For some visuals with this post, I'm dropping some older work. This is from the TREW Gear 2015 winter/fall catalog. This was my first attempt at a catalog design, and frankly I feel like I knocked it out of the park! Fun brand and cool products, and I had a good bit of freedom.

Back in 2018, my dad came to me with an idea for a project. After years as a teacher seeing teenagers come through high school and consistently having the same problems going unaddressed year after year, he wanted to do something to help. So, he wrote a book. A book specifically targeted at teenagers trying to make their way through life without the support or advice that they needed. Dad asked me to handle the design and layout of the book, but he also wanted every chapter of the book to have a humorous little comic to depict the contents of the chapter.

Well, after about a year of work, we had the book completed and were presenting to publishers. The publishers are currently sitting on the book, but if you want a copy we have some, so let me know.

Ever feel like your company isn't attracting the right demographic of clientele? It's probably because your communication isn't targeted at the right people. Maybe your putting ads in the wrong places, but likely it can stem from the look and feel of your company. This is when we look to a Soft Rebrand, a revitalization of the brand's current aesthetic, without completely abandoning everything.

I helped Bella Collina, a Bed and Breakfast outside of Amity, to do just this. They found that many of the high end customers they were pursuing were turned off by their brand, as it appealed more to a lower income demographic. It started with a couple small updates to their logo, then moved on to redefining their brand color and type palette, and then resolved with creating a full set of brand guidelines to help with all future communications. This included not just rules governing how to execute the brand (colors/typography/tone of voice/etc.), but a full suite of assets and templates that they could use to implement their brand in the future. Here you'll see how the brand eventually came to life.

So, a couple years ago, I got contacted by a friend of mine in the hockey community who said she was starting a hockey league for women in the Portland area (the first of it's kind in Oregon). She asked me to design the logos for all of the teams. This was a fun and interesting project, because you have to ensure that there's no overlap in the league. Two teams can't have blue jerseys, because when they have to play against each other it'll be too confusing. Also, for budgetary reasons, we had to stick with prefab jerseys. No custom designs there. Also, if you look closely, you'll see something profane or a sexual innuendo in each of the logos (a request from the client).

If you want a design done for your beer league team's new set of jerseys, just let me know!
