Thanks to the generosity of our community, $300,000 was raised during Dish It Up, Philly’s best women’s chef competition, to boost our life-saving services to survivors of abuse!

This year’s event was a smashing success thanks to our caring community of advocates, all the chefs who competed, our panel of judges, our host Lena Tillett, DeeJay Shelly (who played amazing music all night long), Shenk Company for making screen printed shirts and bags and all of our sponsors!

But we’re not done yet - our 50th anniversary celebration will continue with more special happenings in the coming months, including our iPledge campaign for Domestic Violence Awareness Month in October.

Last night we had the honor of being apart of something truly special. Celebrating 50 years of Women Against Abuse. 50 years of Strength, courage, and community. We brought live screen printing, they brought the heart. Thank you to Women Against Abuse for hosting such a special event and for allowing us to be apart of it all. Shenks! 💜

Shenk Company — a 100+ year-old, family-run screen printing and embroidery business — is looking for a creative and detail-oriented Illustrator/Graphic Designer to join our in-house team.
This is an in-person role, perfect for someone with a little experience who’s looking to grow. You’ll work on t-shirt graphics, logo designs, layout concepts, and help prep art files for production.
Must be familiar with Adobe Illustrator.
Bonus if you know anything about screen printing or embroidery.

Job Openings: Multiple Positions Available
Location: Mechanicsburg, PA

Position 1: Screen-Printing Associate
We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a Screen-Printing Associate. The ideal candidate will have experience in screen-printing techniques and a keen eye for detail. Responsibilities include operating screen-printing machinery, preparing screens, mixing inks, and quality control. Prior experience in a similar role is preferred but not required, we are willing to train.

Position 2: Logistics and Supply Chain Associate
We are currently looking for a dedicated Logistics and Supply Chain Associate to support our operations. The successful candidate will assist in managing inventory, coordinating shipments, and optimizing supply chain processes. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential. Previous experience in logistics or supply chain management is a plus.

Position 3: General Production Help
We are hiring for the position of General Production Help to assist with various tasks in our production facility. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to assembly, packaging, and warehouse organization. No prior experience is necessary; however, candidates should be reliable, able to follow instructions, and work efficiently as part of a team.

Hours: 9am-5pm, Monday through Friday (flexible)

Pay: Starting at $15-$20 per hour depending on experience

Requirements:
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
