I have never quite understood the mentality behind
"I did it on my own"
From my perspective... there is no such thing as achieving "success" all on your own.
Unless you are choosing to ignore interconnectedness... You can readily see.. how everyone has played their role.
Yes... You DID have the drive to execute your vision.. And yes YOU are the one that got all the wheels to turn...
BUT.. know that the "wheels" are not... YOURS.
The Wheels are all the people that came together.. from the one [perhaps unsuspecting] person that inspired your thoughts.....to the person that gave you physical/present assistance... OR the time spent by OTHER people in OTHER places to make the thing you needed to make your vision a reality.
Down to the clients and customers that chose to trust you and give you their money.
Without ALL those "wheels"..?
The success that you claim to have achieved ALL ON YOUR OWN.. would not have been.
And please know that I am not suggesting you OWE people anything more than what you said you were going to give them in exchange for their time/effort/money.
I AM, however, suggesting that your success will be multiplied (or at least it may feel so) if you embrace that your success is communal.
You CAN be the richest man at the cemetery, as it were.
But why wold you WANT to be?
If you have a successful business... INCREASE the wages of your employees... let them know that their decision to make YOUR vision a reality.. is NOT overlooked.. and HIGHLY appreciated.
Incidentally... the more you pay them .. them MORE money you will make. because now THEY have a vested interest in your success. ...and they will represent you better in the eyes of your customers... AND the customers that your customers will attract through word of mouth.
You cannot underestimate the morale that gets enhanced (along with your bottom line) when your employees are appreciated!
At Your Service!
