The Thorndale South parking lot, located at 22W130 Thorndale Avenue, will be temporarily closed for a repaving project. The project includes parking lot repaving and restriping. The lot is scheduled to re-open on October 3.

For Grades 3-6
No pre-registration needed. Cost is $5 at the door.
Held at the Connolly Recreation Center, 22W130 Thorndale Avenue, Medinah

Medinah students come enjoy night full of fun! Activities will include music and open gym. Pizza from Pizza Napoli, pop and candy available for purchase at our concession stand Parents must enter the building to sign participants in and out. Participants will pay at the door. Dress and conduct codes will be enforced.

The Medinah Park District will remain open during the upcoming PGA Presidents Cup Tour starting on Tuesday September 22nd, through Sunday, September 27th.

During this time, the PGA Tour will utilize both of the district parking lots located directly in front of the Connolly Recreation Center as well as the Thorndale South parking lot across Thorndale Ave. During the etirety of the event, the district will provide designated patron parking spaces available directly in front of the main building.

Normal business hours and all scheduled programs will remain the same during the event. Please feel free to call our main office at (630) 893-2560.

Embrace the vibrant side of life with our exciting 9th Annual Color Run. Join us for an evening filled with color and fun. Bring your family and friends to partake in the festivities.

Your participation fee covers a dynamic mile loop that can be conquered multiple times, ensuring an evening of exhilarating activity. Each participant will receive a specially designed running t-shirt, stylish sunglasses, and two color packets to enhance the colorful experience. (Additional color packets may be purchased.)

We’re excited to welcome Jimmy John’s and Texas Roadhouse, who will be on-site after the run. Kona Ice will also be joining us with a variety of sweet treats available for purchase.

2026 “Summer Concert Series In The Park”
6:30-8:00 p.m.

Tomorrow is our last free outdoor concert of the season (rescheduled from the August rainout). The musical guest is "Circle of Fifths," with a song list combining classic rock hits along with danceable/party tune favorites. The band’s three lead singers bring outstanding vocal harmonies, and their skillful musicianship and infectious, crowd-pleasing performances make "Circle Of Fifths" a great live music experience!

Bring your family and friends to Thorndale Park for a summer evening of spectacular music. Don’t forget the lawn chairs, blankets, and picnic baskets! The concession stand will be open too, with refreshing treats to keep you cool on a warm summer night.

Nominating Packets for Park Board Commissioner Available

Nominating Packets are available at the district office in the Connolly Recreation Center for the April 2027 consolidated election for Medinah Park District Commissioner. There are seats available for the completion of two two-year terms and two four-year terms.

Petitions may be filed starting at 9 a.m. on November 16th. The last day to file petitions is November 23rd no later than 5 p.m. We encourage all residents interested in serving on the Board to pick up a packet.
