One of the biggest decisions you'll make as a business owner is how you'll legally register your business so let me break down the basics for you...⁠sorry international friends - this is US rules only today...⁠

PARTNERSHIPS must have at least two or more members in order to form. This structure is preferable if you'd like your cash to flow freely between the business and its partners.

CORPORATIONS are great for any business that would like to be able to raise capital (through selling stocks to shareholders) in the future! They also have no life limit - meaning if the founder of the company passes away - the entity lives on.

LIMITED LIABILITY COMPANY⁠ is what I like to call the "hybrid" of both of the above options. With LLC's you have all the benefits of a corporation (you're not individually liable) & either you can be the sole operator of the LLC or have a few partners.
