Raise your hand if you have fallen for an AI video on social media (and you were disappointed in yourself when you realized it wasn’t real) 🙋🏼‍♀️

It really is like the Wild West out there right now. Anything goes, and who’s to stop it?

In my opinion, that’s one of the scariest things about AI: the ever-growing sense of distrust it inherently brings to the table.

What did it for me was believing a photo someone posted of Oxford after the ice storm was real… it looked like the apocalypse. An unreal number of believed it was true. I did, too, until I looked verrrry closely and saw the little inconsistencies. And that’s when the gravity of it hit me. This is the future and it’s make believe, unless we put some parameters around it.

I bet social media managers stand united in their response to “make it go viral.” 🙄 We all know virality isn’t a sure thing.

But because we’ve been asked to do this one million times, we have a few best practices to help grow your impressions:

• Keep it huuumaaaaannnnnnn (seriously, people are becoming blind to AI-generated copy. Some people wrote like bots before ChatGPT was born and if that’s you, loosen up so people can tell the difference 😂).

• Stuck in the habit of posting single image after single image? Try different types of posts. Throw in occasional reel and carousel to see how it helps your reach.

• Boost important content! Pro tip: Posts that perform well organically should be your top contenders for paid support. Don’t waste money on bad content.
