The Truth About Marty Supreme 🎥🧠

A24 used a smart marketing trick to make you obsessed with their new movie. They leveraged FOMO and high-end, exclusive merch to sell a feeling, not just a film. This is a masterclass in how psychology and intentional design control human attention.

At New Urban Media, we dismantle these strategies to rebuild them for your brand. We don't just "post", we engineer presence.

• Online Marketing: We use consumer psychology to turn casual scrollers into loyal advocates.
• Graphic Design: We create visual identities that don't just look good; they command authority.
• Digital Strategy: We help businesses bridge the gap between being seen and being remembered.

If your brand isn't triggering a reaction, it's just background noise. Let's change that.

➡ A month of 2026 has already passed. Here’s what we predict will be trending on social media this year 👀

Less AI theater. More real humans.
Audiences are already pushing back against overly polished, soulless content. AI will stay, but as a support tool, not the voice. Personality wins messy wins. Real wins.

Imperfection is the new premium.
People are engaging more with content that feels human, unfinished, and honest. Clean is fine. Too perfect feels fake. Brands that show the process, the quirks, and the thinking behind the work will stand out.

Nostalgia is closer than you think.
2026 is not about the 90s or early 2000s. It’s about 2016: early influencer vibes, unpolished edits, familiar formats, playful energy. Less algorithm chasing, more feeling.

Behind the scenes is no longer optional.
How ideas are born matters as much as the final output. BTS content builds trust and proves there’s a human brain behind the brand.

Long form is back, just not on social feeds.
Depth is moving to platforms like Substack, newsletters, and owned spaces where brands can think out loud without fighting the algorithm.

Social is search.
People are using social platforms to research, compare, and decide. Informative, authentic content that answers fundamental questions will outperform hype every time.

2026 is about clarity, trust, and human connection.
If your content still feels like a campaign instead of a conversation, it’s time to rethink it.

Branding is not a logo.
It’s a system.

Branding lives at the intersection of vision, values, position, purpose, identity, and story. Miss one, and the whole thing feels off.

• Vision defines where you’re going.
• Values define what you stand for.
• Position defines how you’re perceived.
• Purpose explains why you exist.
• Identity gives it a visual voice.
• Story makes it human and memorable.

When these pieces work together, branding stops being decoration and starts becoming direction.

THE PSYCHOLOGY OF COLORS

Color is not decoration.
It’s strategy.

Every color triggers an emotional response before a word is read or a logo is recognized. Trust. Urgency. Calm. Power. Desire. None of it is accidental.

Understanding color psychology helps brands control perception instead of guessing it.

What if Saul Bass inspired the posters of some of this year’s Best Picture Oscar nominees?

Saul Bass didn’t design posters to decorate walls. He created them to say something. With bold shapes, limited color palettes, hand-drawn typography, and brutal simplicity, he changed how we understand visual storytelling in film. Bass believed a poster wasn’t meant to show everything. It was about capturing the essence of a movie in a single, powerful visual punch. That mindset still shapes how designers think today. Clarity over noise. Concept over decoration, which means over trends. For designers, Saul Bass matters because he proved that graphic design can shape culture rather than support it. His work reminds us that a single symbol, done right, can be more potent than a thousand details.

If today’s Oscar contenders were filtered through his lens, we’d probably see fewer faces, fewer effects, and a lot more intention.

Design that sticks doesn’t try to impress. It tries to be remembered.

Loyalty is not a personality trait.
It’s a design decision.

People don’t come back because of punch cards or points.
They come back because every detail tells them they belong.

✔️ The layout.
✔️ The copy.
✔️ The visuals.
✔️ The service.
✔️ The experience.

When design makes people feel seen and understood, loyalty becomes the result.

If you want your brand to stick, let’s design something people come back to.

These are called micrographics. A design trend you should absolutely know.

These highly visual layouts are packed with symbols, tiny typography, and dense information. They add a technical, textural layer that instantly elevates a design and makes it feel intentional, engineered, and smart.

Micrographics didn’t start as a trend. They started as a necessity.

Back in the 1950s and 60s, automobiles and consumer electronics relied on these dense clusters of information to display serial numbers, safety standards, electrical specs, and compliance details. Every element followed strict international requirements. No decoration. Pure function. Long before designers used them for aesthetics, micrographics were about utility, clarity, and trust. That’s why they still work today. They signal precision, credibility, and structure.

At New Urban Media in Memphis, TN, we use design trends like this with purpose. Not for hype, but because they communicate something real. If your website looks clean but says nothing, it’s time to rethink the details.

✨ As brand designers, we get it. Choosing one aesthetic can feel like locking yourself into a box forever, especially when you like multiple styles and do not want to lose flexibility. A strong brand identity is not about restriction. It is about building a visual foundation that can grow with you. These aesthetics are not rules. They are starting points for when everything feels overwhelming, and you do not know where to begin.

🤔 Think of this as the base of your brand, not the final version.

⎚ A clear visual direction helps your brand feel cohesive today, while leaving space to evolve as your business, audience, and offerings change.

🛟 Save this if you are planning a brand redesign, building a new identity, or stuck between too many design options.

And tell us, which one speaks to you?

💡 Fonts are not decoration 👉🏼 They set the tone before a single word is read.

What you are seeing here is typography used as atmosphere. Clean lines. Sharp geometry. A sense of space, technology, and intention. These fonts are not trying to be friendly. They are trying to be clear, confident, and forward looking.

Good typography does not ask for attention. It earns it.

At New Urban Media, we choose fonts the same way we design websites: with purpose. Because how something looks changes how it is understood.

Design starts with type.

TEN GADGETS THAT CAUGHT OUR ATTENTION AT CES 2026

This year, perhaps unsurprisingly, artificial intelligence (AI) was everywhere, from smoke alarms to showers to shoe cabinets. However, this was more fatiguing than inspiring, with few AI products succeeding in grabbing our attention or making the case for their usefulness.

Still, a few gadgets stood out. Not for shouting louder, but for getting it right. Smart design. Clear intent. Real potential.

Swipe through the 10 that made us stop scrolling.
